This review is of the PC World shop.

Name of the shop suggests that everything that you need for a PC is on sale here.

PC world is a chain store owned by the group that owns Curry's and Dixon's (used to be called that).

PC world sells computers, laptops, software and computer hardware that is used inside PC's or alongside PC's like printers and speakers, USB sticks etc.

Where in the world do you find PC World? Most of PC World shops are built on retail parks or on edge of town. I haven't seen any PC World shop in the middle of the town.

When you walk into PC World shops, number one thing that you notice is space, lot of space, clean shining surfaces and helpful staff.

Once you talk to PC World employee you will realise that these people are trained well. They will try to sell you more than you want to buy.

Don't ever take their advice seriously. Before walking into the store do research on internet.

I recommend PC World for Laptops and PC's. You will be asked to buy after care package. Don't if you know your computers well or you know someone else who does. Do if don't because you will ripped off later if something goes wrong. You will be ripped off anyway when you buy the after-care package, you know why, this is where they make their money.

DON'T BUY COMPUTER PARTS FROM PC WORLD UNLESS THERE IS A SALE ON OR SPECIAL ONE OFF DEAL. INTERNET PRICES ARE 1/3 ON MOST GOODS LESS THAN PC WORLD'S PRICES.

Don't ever take your pc to PC World repair shop. They charge too much money to repair computers. Get someone local to fix it for you.

This concludes my review on PC World. I hope it helps.

PC World has some positives. You buy your goods in-store, don't have to wait for delivery.

Summary: computer shop

lets see, a £70 labour charge for a pcrepair plus parts...regardless of how many hours it takes to find out what the fault is and repair it....yep thats a rip off....

its like buying anything do ur research before you buy.

If you walk in to a retail store, its obvious the staff are there to sell items to you. You will realise that the staff will ask you many questions this is to find out what you need, for example whats the point in buying a laptop then returning the next day to buy software that you require, or a laptop bag.

Your review isn't the best my friend, it appears you are the kind of know it all person who doesn't really know it all just has there own poor views.

Maybe its because im bias, but to be honest, since i work for the company, i find saying that you cant take advice seriously insulting. Would you distrust your bank manager as well? Im sure the majority of people are like myself, if someone asks me something, inside or out of work, i wont make up some gibberish to sound intelligent, ill ask someone who will know. Work wise, if i give out false information, it'll only come back on me, whats the point? Fair enough do your homework before u shop, for anything, i do that.
And our sole role isnt to sell customers what they dont need, again that only comes back on us, its to find out what the customer needs and meet that spec, we get checked weekly to make sure we're doing that. If someone tells me they want a TV, i dont sell them a mouse extension cable. Of course we're their to sell, but only ever to the customers requirements. Of course, their are always individuals in stores who sell whatever to get good stats. But they tend to meet unfortunate ends with trading standards eventually.
