**MY EXPERIENCE OF PC WORLD IN STOCKPORT**

Pc world has many stores worldwide so you would expect them to be a professionally organised business, sadly, in my experience this is not the case.
I visited my local store as I was searching for extra memory for my kids desk top, (and also to browse the selection of laptops they had on offer).
I looked online to make sure that the store had the correct memory module in stock and was happy to find that they had, what's more, it was on offer as well.
When I eventually arrived at the store, spending what seemed for ever locating a car parking place, I was pounced upon by a strange smelling man in a PC World pullover.
After refusing his offer for help, as I knew exactly what I was looking regarding the memory module, I thought I would check out the laptops before buying what I went in for.
I was followed, from a distance, around to the laptops by the smelly man in the pullover. Upon reaching the laptops I was then greeted by yet another man in an identical pullover.
As I was simply browsing for offers I again refused any help from the second man.
This was when I started to feel uncomfortable as the smelly man and the second man where now both watching me as I studied the specs on the available laptops.
As I read the small pieces of card describing what the laptops offered I couldn't help but notice that yet another sales person had arrived on the scene and began chatting with the second man, They were all now staring over towards me as I browsed.
I really began to feel like a turkey being eyed up by Bernard Matthews, which totally made me lose my concentration.
As I made my way around the laptops I swear the three sales people moved with me, waiting to pounce at the first opportunity.
After a few more minutes of this I had enough and made my way to the Memory module section where as the sales people simply lost interest, presuming that I was not going to be spending hundreds of pounds.

The memory module which was said to be on offer was a lie, in fact the price was way more than the website stated.
As I did not want to be searching the shops in the town centre I thought I'd just pay the extra few pounds and be done with it so I grabbed what I needed and headed for the checkout...
Job done...or so I thought.
As I stood at the checkout, waiting for someone to attend the cash register, I looked around the shop and noticed that the three members of staff who 'stalked' me around the laptops were now chatting to each other and ignoring the fact that they had a customer.
I stood patiently, even waving at the staff, knowing that they had seen me but choosing to ignore me.
A few minutes of standing there like the invisible man I decided to call it a day, so I tossed the memory module onto the floor and walked out of the shop, cursing as I left, (under my breath of course).

**CONCLUSION**

I had wasted my time going into a shop with such ignorant and disrespectful people.
For a company which allegedly prizes itself on customer care, the staff at the store I visited could do with learning the art of communication, (and showering in some cases).

I do realise that not all PC World stores are staffed by imbeciles, who chose which customer is worth serving, so I can not comment on all stores, but I would not recommend shopping in the PC World in Stockport, not unless you don't mind being watched like a shoplifter then ignored because you're spending less than £50.

It put me off PC World entirely.

Summary: PC World...customer care is not in their text book

They shouldn't be working on commission, I used to work for them (the thought makes me sick), I left about 3 weeks ago and they stopped the commission in 2005. I think those lot in the store that you visited were obviously having a bad day money wise and just wanted to sell as much hardware as possible to meet the target for pound notes. They are just plain rude for ignoring you at the checkout, as part of the mystery shop, the checkout has to be manned at all times and it is a security risk if it isn't.
