PC World - They brake it and youve bought it. (PC World)

If your thinking of buying anything from this company (PC / Laptop / Camera / Printer Scanner etc) then go somewhere else that can be trusted. PC World's customer service is the worst i have dealt with as well as the refund / return policy for this company.

I bought an HP Printer Scanner at one of my local stores. It worked fine for 3 months & developed a fault (HP provides online faq's to help idientify the problem & sure enough that is was a fatal error) After calling up PC Worlds customer service they told me i had to deal with the manufacturer. I promptly did so & after about 10 days it arrived.... Unfortunately it was damaged & so i refused to take it & sent it back to HP.

I really needed a Printer Scanner at this point so again i called up PC Worlds customer services & explained that the one i got sent was damaged, i waited 10 days for it to arrive & that i needed one a.s.a.p. I explained that i bought it from my local store & would like to exchange it for a brand new one from a store as i still had my orginal receipt & the product was only 3 months old prior to this. Again they said about dealing with the manufacturer and they wernt interested at all with what had happened.

After getting no where with this, I decided to go down to the store with the faulty product in hope of getting the same product in an exchange or my money back. All i got was an arguement from the store manager & large ammount of stress. He had the nerve to say it was my fault that i didnt shell out extra money for PC Worlds 3 year extended warrenty !

So avoid PC World / Currys / Dixons (all these are run by the same company) The customer services in store & at head office are appalling !!! They will say absolutely anything to keep your money & your stuck with faulty goods.

Summary: A non scanning printer & a large phone bill.
