Advantages: PC World try their level best to help.

Disadvantages: There may well be a wait to see a customer sales advisor

PC World is among one of my favourite places to visit, they have an extensive range of desk-top and Lap-top computers in stock.
Obviously my computer knowledge is limited but that still doesn't stop me enjoying a good look around the store.

My most recent visit to the large city store was to enquire about Mobile Broadband. I have been using Tiscali broadband for some time now but love the concept of being able to access the Internet anywhere and everywhere.
The store was busy as usual, so it took a while to locate a staff member who could help me with my enquiries.
The customer service adviser took me through the choices, there was the option of buying the `dongle` at around the cost of £50 and then using the pay as you go system or you could enter into an 18 month contract with three different levels of monthly payment according to your usage of the Internet.
The `3 `Mobile Broadband packages started at £10 a month.
The adviser said it was helpful if he was able to calculate my Internet usage on his computer.
He asked if I downloaded music or films, I told him my Internet usage rarely included any downloading.
He then asked roughly how many hours I would need to access the Internet on a daily basis, he then fed all of the information into his computer which then calculated the monthly package costing £15 would be the most appropriate for me to consider.
He needed to ascertain that` 3` Mobile Broadband could be accessed in my area, which it could. A credit check had to be done because you are entering into a legally binding agreement.

Mobile broadband uses a `dongle` , this is a small device that has a USB attached to it, a Sim card is inserted into your `dongle` to give you access to the the network and the USB then fits into the computer.
The next stage was to activate my Sim card to access the mobile broadband, a telephone call to `3` is all that is needed, which was done by the PC World sales advisor. The Sim is then activated but takes 24 hours until you can use it.
The process involves installing some software, but once you have attached your USB to your computer the installation more or less takes care of itself.

I also wanted to ask about a `Skype` phone, but I got little joy there, the sales advisor knew virtually nothing about them, but he told me that PC World had stopped stocking them.
So I will have to do a little more research myself.
Overall the staff as always were cheerful and helpful. They always seem to have lots of customers wanting to ask them all kinds of questions and I feel that they do their best to help.

Summary: PC World have a store filled with the latest technology
