Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Diabolical after sales service
I purchased a desk top computer from PC world 1 year ago and have to say after sales service is total crap.
When purchasing the computer i took out a PC performance agreement for peace of mind, which also is total crap. Every time you phone the tech guys with a basic problem they advise you to do either a system restore or system recovery to try and overcome the issue which you have.
I also took my computer into fosse park Leicester store for its annual health check. On return i switched the computer on, only to find an on screen message reading Hirens boot CD and three options underneath.
On closer inspection i found PC world had left a CD-r in the disk drive that is used in conjunction with the health check
The computer also worked fine before its health check, but had issues on its return which yet again the tech guys helpline could not help me with.
I have since canceled my PC performance agreement and now use a local competent specialist to sort out any issues.
Be warned, avoid PC World and the Tech Guys if you can, as they are rubbish.
Summary: You will get driven to your wits end
