Disadvantages: Rubbish customer service and delivery
OK where do I start.... Now here's a bit of info PC World / Currys / the link and dixons are all part of the dixons group.
I have had mixed dealings with all the above but the most annoying thing is when something goes wrong, either damaged on delivery or products developing a fault.
e.g. an LCD TV with DVD player I bought was delivered but as soon as it was turned on it make a high pitched squeal. Now the delivery was arranged but no time given between 8am and 6pm and of course for them to replace my LCD TV they have to pick up the faulty one, then register back into stock before sending me out a new one. They only pick up Monday to Friday and again cannot give you a specific time or even AM or PM so another day off work for faulty product pick up.
The worse of it is after 10 without the LCD tv and another day off work another faulty product was delivered. In the end sent back with another day off work for a refund but they were not interested in compensating me for all the time wasted and phone call charges despite they found both products to be faulty.
This is the only issue with buying from dixons group over the internet - sometimes it;s better buying from a local store
