Advantages: Peace of mind if something goes wrong

Disadvantages: Do not stick to the time limit, no one has any information about the product and when it will be rep

When I bought my new laptop in December 2007, I also purchased the PC Performance Warranty. My laptop's screen cracked and as a result I phoned them up and they came and collected my laptop and was told that it would be fixed in 2 weeks time and yes! the laptop was back in 2 weeks time. But since the day I got it, I had problems with the new screen. It had a yellow tint on it and it was giving me headaches if I used the laptop. I called them up again and they asked me to wait till the updates are done as it was a new screen. I waited but it never got better. Now I have send it back again and it has been a month and they have no repaired it or don't know anything about it. I am very dissappointed with their service. I was told by someone I know that if they do not fix the laptop on 2 weeks, we are allowed to ask for a new one. But I called customer service today and they said the only thing he can do was enquire about what was happening on Monday as PC Performance technicians do not work on weekends. I think its time the quality standards had stricter rules so that big companies like PC World stop taking the piss out of customers like us!
