Advantages: Good layout of store, wide range of products

Disadvantages: Irritating employees, Poor customer services, overprcied

PC World is one of the most well known stores for computers because they sell pretty much everything but I am not entirely sure it is that great to be honest.

**Employees**

I visit PC World quite often to look for the latest computers and also for the latest peripherals but every time I go in I instantly find an employee on my back trying to sell me something. Now I don't really mind because sometimes they can be helpful but then i'll get another employee trying to sell me exactly the same product. This can be very annoying at times, especially when you just intend to enter the shop for a quick browse.

**Layout**

The shop itself is usually quite well laid out as they have all the different computer categories separated into different sections of the store. These sections are labelled with big letters to make it easier for the customer to see. Having entered many PC World stores I have found that they do not have as wide of a selection of computers as you may think. For example I went into a Currys just across the road and they seemed to have more computers than PC World.

**Prices**

Another disadvantage of PC World is the price unless you can get the occasional bargain. This is because compared to the internet and other stores it can be very expensive. I bought a laptop from Currys the other day for £399.99 when the same laptop was £429.99 so I would watch out for their prices. This is what lets the shop down because they do sell some great computer peripherals.

**Customer Service**

Having had problems with a computer from PC World I have had to ring up customer services and I have to say that from experience they are terrible. The price that they wanted for my repair was ridiculous but I did pay it because it needed to be done. Also the time it took for my computer to be repaired was around 2 weeks so i was not happy at all.

**Overall**

Overall PC World sells some great goods but they are too overpriced and also the customer services are terrible. If you are looking to buy a computer then I would not recommend PC World at all because from my experience they are terrible.
