Disadvantages: Lots of special offers on at the same time;, not always advised to the check-out staff.

I have bought a number of items from PC World over the past few years, but these items don't include a computer, scanner or other hardware...no, I tell a lie, I have purchased a printer.
I have tended to find that it is advisable to arm yourself with some general knowledge of what you want, before going into the store; otherwise, if you are in real need of detailed advice, you sometimes have to hang about waiting for a member of staff, or else go and find one.
Having said that, on most occasions, I have found them to be very helpful; and especially with locating some of the smaller goods in a somewhat large retail store.
One thing you have to watch is, that sometimes, when there are special offers on, the till staff are often the last to be told. When I bought my printer recently, there was a £10 reduction as a special offer.. The till-lady rang up the full amount and I didn't notice until I was putting my VISA card back into it's wallet, along with the receipt. When I pointed it out, she was rather abrupt and said I'd have to take up the matter with the Customer Services.
Thankfully, it was dealt with, but this sort of thing can be annoying and embarrassing, especially as I had to hold up the rest of the queue to argue it out.
