Well It's aptly named at least. Rows upon rows of PC's, peripherals, games and printers. All under one roof - the Toys R Us of computer retailing.

But come on, it's a god-awful place to visit.

My problems with PC world range from the cavernous warehouse of radiation-causing boxes which are overpriced and often outdated to the army -literally - of Sales Assistants, who on an average day probably outnumber the punters.

They almost chase anyone who looks like they have money through the store. Like true predators they prey on the family, with the easy-to-catch preteen luring the older members to part with £1000 plus.

Then there are the "extended warranties". An excellent idea, but fatally flawed. They are designed, in my mind, purely to squeeze more money from parent's wallets.

"Did I mention we have finance facilities, sir?"
