Disadvantages: very few staff, Expensive
I have been into Pc World many times 50+ it's a good way to watch a shop run badly. If you can find the item you want only twice have i found a price tag anywhere, Their prices are way too expensive. I have worked for a company selling computer parts mailorder, And I have only brought one thing from pc world and this was a dvd drive OEM (with out packaging) I brought this two weeks ago due to checking out pcworld with a friend who was looking at buying a scanner and to my amazement found a new section of shelves of brown boxes these are OEM products such as cpu's/CD drives/cases/motherboards. These items are still brand name products but come without there original packaging and sometimes without instructions depending on what product it is. If you what to buy parts for a pc for a better price try a computer fair, These places are great for cheap parts e.g. amd athlon 2000+ processor pc world £256 computer fair £199 40gig hard drive pc world £100 computer fair £66, Also the memory is cheap i went to my local computer fair and brought pc100 128mb £17 256mb £30. Interested try computer-fairs.co.uk but beware they charge £2.00 admission but the savings are well worth that. To save me listing all the price savings just look in any computer mag or on the internet e.g. simply.com/amazon.com/watford.co.uk etc and there are two prices inc vat and exc vat, look at the excluding vat that is the price you will pay at computer fairs, but don't get there early prices go down during the day. p.s. i spend a fortune buying pc parts and i know lots more even the legal side of getting refunds, repairs etc. regards shopalot Pc Engineer
