I agree with many of the opinions here but mostly of those who used to work for PC World. However, my advice is to do all your research first before you step inside PC World. Use the web to find exactly what you are looking for and make notes about prices. Read all the "small print" regarding terms and contitions of sale and especially the extended warranties provided by both PC World and others. It sounds silly but choose the time you visit the store. When they aren't busy and when there's about a hour to go before they close is the best time, then there is a higher chance that you can speak (negociate)with those in authority, these are the people who can give the discounts you're looking for. When you speak to the PC World Salesman, keep control buy asking questions (through your research you know the answers anyway but still ask them to keep control). Negociate don't bully the salesman, he is human after all. I got a price match against an internet store on a digital camcorder and a pack of 3 DV tapes for free. Total discount of 130 quid. I have yet to experience their after sales service though. Summary: |
