delivery issues (PC World)

Disadvantages: No idea when they will be delivered, Lied about goods being in stock, Never contacted me or replied to my emails/letters.

Update.
Another 5 days have now passed, as has another promised delivery date. I phoned head office today and they told me that the problem was that they hadn't had any firewire cards. They hadn't contacted me at any stage to let me know, probably because they knew I would cancel the order and buy one somewhere else. I think PC World are a disgrace.



I ordered an ipod from pc world with some reluctance, but as in fairness they were the only company with any in stock, I had no choice.
When the 5 working days for delivery were up, I gave them a ring, to be told that it would be with me the next working day and I would be contacted by a supervisor to confirm this. It wasn't and they didn't. The next day I rang again to be told that 5 working days was an aim, not a promise. Ok, I said, when will I get it? It should be with you in a couple of days they said. It wasn't. I rang again yesterday to be told that a supervisor would chase the order up and I should get it today, and they would contact me to confirm this. It wasn't and they didn't. I rang again today and was told that I might get it tomorrow!
How long can it take to move an ipod from one shelf to another and have it picked up by the couriers?
I don't mind the shops themselves, because I know I'll be paying more for the convenience of buying off the shelf, but I do object to a company taking my money, but then having no idea when they will be able to get my goods to me.
