PC World Business is just as bad (PC World)

Obviously, I'd never chose to deal with PC world myself... When a relacement laptop arrived after an insurance claim, and the invoice read PC World Business, I thought I was lucky that it had arrived, only a week later than everything else I had had stolen.

The only problem was it doesn't work... They won't give me a RMA number, and won't send a replacement without me speaking to an engineer. Now they want an engineer to come out and confirm it's dead. They also want to be able to charge me a call-out fee if it turns out not to be dead - requiring me to fill in a form that they'll fax me. Since the manager who was dealing with it had gone home by 5pm, I can't even be sure I'll not have to phone them again on Monday.

Remember, this is an organisation that sells exclusively to business, so ought to expect to be dealing with technically competant customers. At least I've only had to wait about 10-20 minutes to speak to someone each time I phone them...

Anyone for a sweepstake on how long it takes me to get a new, working laptop???
