PC World is the United Kingdoms biggest retailer that specialise in selling computers or computer related products. PC World comes under the DSi Group of store chains, that also owns Currys and Dixons. Normally you can find a store near you as they are normally located on all big cities and towns. In Cardiff where I live, there is a large store ...

In 2007 I shopped at PC World and got my self a new Samsung laptop from here.Along with the laptop came a nice guarantee over 5 years and the service on that day was just excellent.Things did not turn out the way I expected though. The expensive 500 pound laptop ended up having problems and not working right in the space of just 3 short ...

When I bought my new laptop in December 2007, I also purchased the PC Performance Warranty. My laptop's screen cracked and as a result I phoned them up and they came and collected my laptop and was told that it would be fixed in 2 weeks time and yes! the laptop was back in 2 weeks time. But since the day I got it, I had problems with the new ...

Express Review on PC World

I asked PCWorld in Bangor for their cheapest printer for my son to do his homework, which is mainly B/W . They recommended the Lexmark Z2390 printer that costs £ 29. I took it home and found out it there was no black cartridge just a colour one with black in it. I went back to found out where it was and was told it was optional ! As I would be wasting other colours by only using black out of a colour cartridge I went to buy a black cartridge.
The cost ... £ 25 !
I spoke to the manager a couple of days later who basically said " that`s the way it is ! "
So if you want to be ripped off by PC World by buying a cheap printer that needs expensive inks, then the Lexmark Z2390 is the one for you !

OK where do I start.... Now here's a bit of info PC World / Currys / the link and dixons are all part of the dixons group. I have had mixed dealings with all the above but the most annoying thing is when something goes wrong, either damaged on delivery or products developing a fault. e.g. an LCD TV with DVD player I bought ...

This store is home for everything you need relating to computers. I am reviewing the branch in Blackburn. Here in Blackburn the branch has got a huge space on the car park for customers wishing to come inside here. It is also open 7 days a week and you will find a lot of staff workers inside to ensure you get some speed service when coming ...

Just to warn anyone you really should avoid PC World PC Performance agreements. I have had to send my laptop away for repair for the 3rd time within 6 months and it is currently still in their workshop. It has been with them for 4 weeks now and they have rang every Thursday for the last 3 weeks to tell me they are still waiting on a part. The ...

A few weeks ago our laptop screen mysteriously broke (I'm blaming the cat) so after a call to my insurer a giftcard was on its way, fingers crossed it's not PC World vouchers they're sending however I was crushed to find the plastic rectangle of doom concealed within an envelope last tuesday. I went in PC world and said (because I wanted a professional opinion) "my RAM doesn't work at stock speed and they tell me "the BIOS should auto detect and set everything up automatically". Uhummm I don't *u*ki*g think so! What a bunch of monkeys. So I go to forum and they confirm that a lot bios tweaks need to be made and they also say that the auto setting are wrong a lot of the time. The bottom line - PC World are a bunch of muppets and they don't know *uck all. Hey PC world, if you're listening, NOT EVERYTHING IS MONKEY PROOF YOU MUPPETS! Do some research and hire some decent staff!

The first thing that really annoyed me about going to PC World was that I didn't know where it was so wanted to ring them from my car to get directions. Nightmare! It's one of these automated, centralised services and the directions were only any good if you knew the places it said it was near to. In the end I found it by asking in another shop in ...

Customer service for PC World is awful - I bought a laptop that developed a fault after 6 weeks, the tech guys had me doing system restores and a system recovery before admitting defeat and it was picked up by courier. They still have laptop 18 days later and i am the one that has had to chase it up. Some days i am told the part needed to fix laptop is in stock and other days i am told it is not !!! Will never buy from PC World again and would definitely not recommend

PC World, is, not surprisingly, a shop that sells a wide range of electronics and computer equipment. I say wide, but they don't always have what I want, or what I sometimes expect they'll have, so it becomes a bit of a guessing game sometimes. PC Worlds are usually found in large stores in retail parks, which can make getting to them a ...
