My husband bought me a netbook for my birthday this year. He knew I wanted one, and I wanted one with Linux on, but other than that he didn't really have a lcue, so he had a look on the internet and had a look in the high street. He saw one in PC world, which looked affordable, but was an ex demo model, and was pink, but other than that it ... Read the complete review

PC World are a huge computer company that sell Desk top computers, laptops, software, desks to chairs too. I first bought myself to my local store, just over 8 miles away when a few years ago my laptop died on me out of the blue, I thought going to such a big company and brand that I could trust my needs in there hands, I was very wrong ... I'd never really thought about the service of PC World before - didn't have reason to either. Every time I went into the store and bought something it was just normal standard service - nothing out of the ordinary. Just recently, however, I have been appalled at their service. I bought a 32" Samsung TV for my sister in law's 18th ... Read the complete review

PC World!! Big company. Dont care about their customers at all. Bought a printer, taken it back numerous times. Never had it repaired properly. Have used loads of ink and wasted money. They kept the lead when I took it in despite listing it on the paperwork, nicked all my Epsom ink. Then when I said they replaced it with the cartridges which last ... Read the complete review

PC World is a dedicated computer system retailer which is part of the Dixons Stores Group (DSG) retail brand, also including Dixons and Currys. Bought a desktop from PC World online last week. I paid extra for it to be delivered on Saturday and it never showed up. Was told I could expect it this morning before 12 and here I am still waiting. It seems it's a combination of 2 things - PC World being next to useless and the delivery company they're using (DPD) being equally incompetent. Am going to ring them this afternoon to ask for my money back. I WILL NEVER BE BACK IN PC WORLD!!! What is so difficult in taking an order and honouring the commitment to deliver on a specified day?

PC World is one of the most well known stores for computers because they sell pretty much everything but I am not entirely sure it is that great to be honest. **Employees** I visit PC World quite often to look for the latest computers and also for the latest peripherals but every time I go in I instantly find an employee on ... PC World is where I go to get ideas and to see potential purchases "in the flesh". Rarely do I buy anything there, for the same reason that most of you don't - appalling customer service. When I do buy at PC World it has to be something that is unlikely ever to go wrong and at a very good price, not something you're often likely to ... Read the complete review

As somebody who has worked in the IT business for about the last 14 years or so, I have had many dealings (and heard of many dealings) with pc world. PC world, along with Dixons and Currys, are owned by DSG International Plc. The group in its latest accounts recorded a loss of over £140 million, which I find so extraordinary when you bear in mind ... Read the complete review

I bought my laptop from pc world about 4 years ago along with a pc performance agreement for £10 a month. The laptop worked well for 3 years and i was fairly happy with it until it developed an obvious problem with the battery/power. So I dug out my agreement and rang the techguys, they came to collect it the next day. It was ... Read the complete review

On several occasions recently I have had cause to visit PC World, and on all of these, have been extremely disappointed. The store boasts that it is the UK's leading store for computers and computer equipment; in my view, in no way does it live up to this claim. My most recent visit was to look for a multifunction colour laser printer; ... Read the complete review

When I bought my new laptop in December 2007, I also purchased the PC Performance Warranty. My laptop's screen cracked and as a result I phoned them up and they came and collected my laptop and was told that it would be fixed in 2 weeks time and yes! the laptop was back in 2 weeks time. But since the day I got it, I had problems with the new ... Read the complete review

I asked PCWorld in Bangor for their cheapest printer for my son to do his homework, which is mainly B/W . They recommended the Lexmark Z2390 printer that costs £ 29. I took it home and found out it there was no black cartridge just a colour one with black in it. I went back to found out where it was and was told it was optional ! As I would be wasting other colours by only using black out of a colour cartridge I went to buy a black cartridge.
The cost ... £ 25 !
I spoke to the manager a couple of days later who basically said " that`s the way it is ! "
So if you want to be ripped off by PC World by buying a cheap printer that needs expensive inks, then the Lexmark Z2390 is the one for you !
