I reserved a Blu-Ray player on-line and received confirmation that the item was reserved. Armed with the paperwork and after a 45 minute drive I went to collect the item and guess what - no stock. The body language and reaction from the staff indicated that this had happened before with this particular item. I was offered an inferior mode

PC World bad customer service (235 words)

I dont think you can fault PC world on the quality of the hardware, that is unless they refuse to fix or replace the item. My main gripe on PC World is the customer service of the in store staff. When you ask where an item is, they never seem to know. Still fare enough, i do not mind looking myself, but I get a funny ...  Read the complete review

I used to buy all my Blank Media items from PC World, i bought quite a few Cd's to burn for my car.
I was getting a 100 discs for around £25.
I was using around 1 spindle of 100 per month. I had a quick browse online and came accross 'Babz Media' (babzmedia.com). And to say they were cheap is an understatement, i bought 100 CD whi

Its not often I find the need to contact any company/store to complain about the service I receive but the events of last Saturday afternoon have changed my outlook somewhat. My wife, daughter and myself visited the PC World store in Gloucester on Saturday afternoon to purchase an Apple iPad 2, 64GB, (retailing at £559), plus ...  Read the complete review

Never, ever, under any circumstances waste your money on a PC World PC performance agreement. At £8.99 a month it's a complete rip off when the service is so rubbish and the staff are so unhelpful. When you book a laptop in for repair they tell you it'll be about 10 days, I didn't get mine back for another six weeks! They give ...  Read the complete review

I took my laptop in for a health check which was supposed to only take a few hours and was told there was a problem and it would have to be sent away to be mended. I was told it would take a week. Over 3 weeks later and many calls from me chasing it i got it back. I asked to speak to the store manager to say i wasn't happy with the ...  Read the complete review

Having bought two desktop PCs , three laptops and numerous accessories there over the past couple of years I feel I am experienced enough to comment on their service/products. PC World caters to the complete novice who knows nothing about PCs , their pricing or how to shop online. The mark up on their products compared to those ...  Read the complete review

Recently had to return a Lexmark printer to this store. The staff member I dealt with made me feel stupid and appeared totally disinterested and inconvenienced

This issue is not even sorted out yet, but the standard of customer services from PC World is simply awful. I purchased a laptop for my mother in law and after six months the keypad packed in. Fair enough it happens, but the shop wasn't interested and gave me a phone number. Not a problem in itself, but it took four attempts and a LOT of ...  Read the complete review

I paid for a television and c.d. player 2 weeks ago and luckily had written confirmation of the delivery, I paid extra for a time slot which should have been yesterday between 1-4pm but it never arrived. When I rang PC World they had no record of a delivery date. Obviously I was furious and demanded a full refund. I will take my £450

As i am hoping to head off to uni in September, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a quality laptop for my studies. Having been recommended to buy a refurbished laptop instead of a brand new one (better quality, lower price), I picked one out which looked top of the range. All was well until it arrived, I tried to open the cd ...  Read the complete review

They've never been able to fix simple problems with my laptops, and they charge a ridiculous amount if you don't pay for their 'Whatever Happens' insurance!
