Advantages: Salesman wasn't pushy

Disadvantages: Expensive and useless helpline

I bought a Tiny computer last December, mainly because of their extensive advertising and the fact that there was a new showroom nearby. I don't know much about buying a computer and to be fair, the guy in the showroom was very helpful and didn't try and persuade me to buy the most expensive model.

My husband, being a complete computerphobic wouldn't even come to the shop with me and insisted I took out Tiny's extra 5 year warranty cover.

This was very expensive and is a complete waste of time. The computer has been very average and the software has caused lots of problems. Every time I have needed to phone their helpline I have been treated with apathy and they have been no help at all. I have had far more help from the computer newsgroups than from Tiny - and at no cost.

I got a good bundle of software with the computer, but I wouldn't buy a pc from them again as I think they are expensive. If anyone is considering buying the extended warranty - don't bother, it doesn't seem worth the paper it's written on.

Actually, Tiny's computers have always been very reasonably priced every time I've looked (compare with Dan or Dell if you don't believe me.) Support is pretty minimal though -- but the hardware is fine.
