Advantages: Cost
Disadvantages: Not recieving goods, Appalling customer services
They have an excellent range of products, and some very competitive prices. Where they ruin it all is their customer services and in actually trying to get the get the goods to you. I ordered a very reasonably priced hard drive and graphics card, but for some reason their delivery company delivered them to a completely different address from the one I specified. This should have been fairly simple to sort out. But not for them. Over the course of two weeks, I phoned their customer services every day (usually with a half hour wait on hold), often to be promised that someone was looking into it personally, and I would recieve my goods the next. The following day I would phone up to find out that they had pretty much lied to me. My goods hadn't arrived after two weeks of promises, so I cancelled the orders, and not surprisingly, I am still waiting for a refund on my payment - so I have a lot more wasted time and phone bill to look forward to in trying to get it sorted out - I have no hopes that they will actually sort it out themselves. They probably work out fine for the majority of people, but if things go wrong, and god forbid, you have to deal with their customer services, you're in for a lot of headache. My recommendation is to stay away.

- 19/12/02 i read with interest the comments that have been made about Watford Electronics.
I would like to put forward a different view of this company as seen through the eyes of someone who knows.
The reason why their customer services is lacking is through understaffing.
They are expected to answer calls within a few minutes, and expected to know all the answers.
I will not say how many customer service people are employed, but suffice to say its very few, and they work extremely hard to help everybody and have limited access to all information as regards to the couriers that are used by the company.
The couriers are not controlled by W E, and basically blame them for their own cock-ups and thieving ( so ive heard ) staff who seem to make computers 'FALL OFF THE BACK OF A LORRY"
I understand that people are frustrated, but have a heart for the good people at W E who are working very hard to help Santa deliver those wonderful computers!
MERRY XMAS! |
