The firm cardboard box (which can be used to stow away the mixer after use) contains five items: the container, the lid, the top with the motor and two plastic sticks. The container is made of transparent plastic, it's 17 cm high and 14,5 cm wide at the top. Under the bottom are three small rubber topped feet (similar to the ends of pencils) which make the mixer stand firm. Indeed the CLATRONIC MIXER doesn't move the slightest bit when in use. On the outside of the container is a scale from 250 ml to 1250 ml so that one can check how much stuff is inside while working. In the middle of the bottom inside is a small metal peg onto which one of the two plastic sticks can be put. One stick has two chopping blades made of high-grade, rustproof steel to chop vegetables or fruit, the other one has a plastic whisking disc for whisking cream. Once one of the sticks has been put in, a 4 cm high translucent plastic lid is put on top of the container. It has a small hole in the middle through which the end of the plastic stick looks out. The top of the mixer containing the motor is 14 cm high, it's made of white plastic and shaped like a dome. It has a small hole in the middle of the bottom, this is put onto the end of the plastic stick. Turning the top slightly to the right and to the left show if the contact is firm. A cable runs out of the top (Power supply: 230 V, 50 Hz, 350 W max), when the plug is plug into the socket the user puts their palm onto the top and presses it, then the blades or the whisking disc respectively start moving. It's advisable not to press too hard and for too long, better interrupt the process occasionally for a second or two, at least I think so. I'm afraid of overheating the motor, but maybe this is nonsense. But the chopping or whisking process is exceptionally fast and effective, one doesn't need long anyway. I use the mixer mainly for the preparation of fruit from which I make jam. I like using my mixer so much that I've made more jam than I intended to since I bought it. Now, that the fruit period is nearly over, I'm going to use it to chop boiled pumpkin pieces and potatoes for pumpkin soup. I don't whisk cream with it any more, I only did this at the beginning, now I use a handmixer. The container of the CLATRONIC MIXER is to big for the amount of cream I need. Chopping onions can be tricky if you want to get small pieces of onion. You press too long and you get onion juice. I only ever need one onion for my meals, as I'm good at chopping onions by hand, I prefer this traditional method. Not only is using the CLATRONIC MIXER as easy-peasy as could be, cleaning it is nothing. I just hold it under running water and that's it. I can highly recommend this gadget. I bought mine at Woolworth's (still going strong in Germany). I've seen it for 19,89 Euro on www.amazon.de.
