Advantages: Perfect baking

Disadvantages: none

This Kitchen Aid stand mixer is a replacement for a previous one. I must point out here that there was absolutley nothing at all wrong with the previous Kitchen Aid stand mixer, it was approx 6 years old and it still worked perfectly. I only replaced it as I wanted a colour change. I have given the old one to a friend and she is happily using it.
Kitchen Aid appliances are expensive, you can get cheaper brands, but Kitchen Aid products do look good out on display, they have that iconic sleek retro look. They are also brilliant quality and are built to last for years and years. So yes they are an expensive purchase initially, but they will last you virtually forever, and you will get your moneys worth out of them

This is definately the stand mixer to beat all stand mixers, everyone covets them, and they definately do live up to the hype.
You get perfect light fluffy sponges and cakes when mixing in this, whipping cream and whipping egg whiyes for merangues is a doddle, bread or pizza bases are so easy to do in this.
The stand mixer comes with a stainless steel bowl which is easy to clean and can go in the dishwasher, a stainless steel wire whick for cream or egg whites - you do have to hand wash this, a flat beater for cakes - again dishwasher safe, a dough hook for bread, and a spatter guard/pouring shield.
It is really quiet when in use, and has ten speeds to enable you mix anything. It is reaaly heavy, but this just means that it is sturdy and robust, you probably don't want to be getting it out of a cupboard each time you use it, but then why do you want to hide it away in a cupboard anyway!
I use mine all the time, I couldn't go back to beating anything by hand, I would be last without this now

Summary: This is expensive but worth the money
