RIM Blackberry Leather Swivel Holster for Blackberry Torch 9800
by topsyturvy
With my Blackberry, I am really scared of it getting the smallest scratch which is why I decided that I would buy a case for it, like I had for my last phone to ensure that it was protected. I didn't know that there was so much choice when it came to choosing a Blackberry case so when I clicked onto Amazon, I really was spoilt for ... choice! However, I don't like anything bright and over the top and wanted it kept in a case that was sophisticated and smart looking which is why I settled for the Blackberry Leather Swivel Holster.
APPEARANCE
So, my Blackberry case is in black which is nothing exciting but to me it keeps with the colour of my Blackberry Torch which is what I wanted. It is leather so it has a nice texture to it and a closing strap which comes across the phone to secure it in place. The strap has a metal Blackberry square on the front to show which brand it is which is a really nice touch. The strap has stitching all around the edges and strap which add a bit of character to it and the case is 118g boxed.
LEATHER SWIVEL CASE
Now, the case is perfect in terms of size and the inside is a soft lining so that the phone is kept protected inside and it is so thick the case that if you were to drop it the phone would be quite well padded. The case is great having the holster but I never clip the case onto anything really as I keep it either in my pocket or in my bag most of the time so that I don't lose it. I think the case is very well made and it feels of a really high quality leather which just adds to the phone looking good.
The fact that the badge for Blackberry is on the front is really nice as it shows the brand very well but also adds a touch of class to its appearance. The stitching isn't an amazing feature but it shows it is well crafted which is a good thing. It is like a magnet to close the case so when your phone is in place, the strap comes over and automatically shuts down to secure it. This is nice as it saves fiddling about with clips and other fastenings and keeps it all together really well.
I do get quite a lot of compliments on this case as it looks good and I am always asked where I got it from. In terms of protecting my phone from any damage, I'd say this does a great job in helping with this. My phone is protected very well in this little case and I haven't got any scratches which is great. I know that when I am out and about that my phone is kept in place rather than it moving about in my bag and hitting off of other items that could damage it.
If you have a Blackberry Torch like me and want a nice, stylish cover for it then I really would recommend that you take a look at this. It is well crafted and the cover itself has gotten no damage or no stitching has come undone as it is so well finished. It is a worthwhile purchase and I couldn't have my Blackberry without knowing it is kept in this case.
COST
To purchase this case isn't hard you can go straight to Amazon and get yourself this black one for just £4.23 which is a great price really.

Cath Kidston iPhone 4 case
by daisylee3
My iPhone is by far one of the most expensive items that I own, and it is also an item that I take out with me everyday, meaning that it gets shoved in my bag, stuck in my pocket or balanced on my knee when i'm on the bus/train. I have never really been a fan of the iPhone cases, as most of the ones that i've come across look quite tacky ... and common if that makes sense, and I preferred my iPhone without the case. A few months ago though after upgrading to the latest iPhone 4, I was reccomended by a guy in the orange shop to get atleast a silicone case for it as iPhones aren't the most robust - my iPhone is probably the most sensetive and non-sturdy phone i've owned. I decided to purchase a basic silicone case that was nice and discreet from Amazon, and set out in search for one. While browsing though, I came across the Cath Kidston iPhone case and I fell in love! There was only one left in stock (according to the seller, anyway) so I added it to my Amazon basket and checked out as soon as possible.
The iPhone case is widely available, it can be purchased from John Lewis, the official Cath Kidston website/in store Cath Kidston or via various websites including Amazon. The phone case comes packaged nicely, it had a clear front that acts as a window and the packaging is easy to open. This is described as a designer hard back iPhone case, and some product descriptions refer to it as a lacquered shell. The case is made of lightweight, good quality plastic which is smooth to the touch. I was quite concerned that the case would scratch easily due to the material it's made from, however i've had this case for over a month now and it's not got any noticeable scratches, it has a few very minor scratches from where i've put it on a hard surface etc, but none are noticeable unless I look very closely.
The case was easy to put onto my phone, it simply snapped into place and it fitted perfectly. It didn't cover any of the screen or the little round button at the bottom, and it has a gap where the camera goes, it was a perfect fit and it looked really neat. The case doesn't add a noticeable amount of weight to my phone, nor does it bulk it out. There are plenty of different eye catching patterns to choose from, there are the usual 'classic' Cath Kidston prints such as birds, polka dots, stars, etc and there are a few more newish patterns such as red roses, buses, cars and a few more - the choice is pretty big which I like as normally with Cath Kidston products there are only three or four different patterns for one particular item where as with this there are around 8 different designs to choose from.
I own this in the london bus design, it's amazingly cute and unusual and very vintage/indie, the colour scheme is predominantly blue with a big red bus on it along with the london eye, big ben, trees, flowers, etc. The cath kidston logo is on the side of the bus and it's also on the bottom of the case, showing that it's a genuine Cath Kidston product. I love how bright the colour scheme is as that way my phone is instantly reconiseable. As well as making my iPhone look very colourful and cute, it also protects it really well. I am quite clumsy and often drop my phone by mistake (including when i'm laid in bed holding it above my face, d'oh!) or throw it into my bag without thinking, and this case protects the phone really well. I have dropped my phone once since having this case and neither the phone or case were damaged.
I have read a couple of reviews on the Cath Kidston website of people having issues with the design coming off and complaining that the quality is poor, however I think the quality is brilliant! The case does not interfere with the sensetivity of my iPhone screen or anything like that, it simply keeps it secure. The only downside to this product is the price - the RRP is a ridiculous £24.95, however as I bought mine from Amazon I paid £18 and I was lucky enough to get it technically free with my Dooyoo Amazon voucher! Overall, a lovely, very eye catching, good quality iPhone 4 case. It's a little expensive but in my opinion it is worth it!! Read the complete review |
