My mum generously purchased me an ipad 4th generation almost 1 years ago and that I was also fortunate enough to be able to include on-one of the apple cases to the purchase which has been utilized on my ipad since the first day-to keep it clear and protected.
the apple ipad circumstance arrived in many different colours,Where during the time it had been priced at £45 .
The ipad case is actually a small around the side that is costly but I loved the features it said it'd and wanted to maintain my ipad completely protected. The features include:
- Complete coverage protecting both the back and also the screen but also getting the correct pockets for the charger and headphones in addition to lifted/ locations that are designated for the volume and rest keys.Additionally it demonstrates the apple logo on the back of the event.
- created from leather with a flocked coating which keeps the screen clear and secured. It it is non-slip and also thinks cozy and not hard to keep.
- the ipad is also woken by The address when closed which assures power saving when not being used, when exposed and applies it into sleep function.
- One feature that generally attracted me to the case was the truth that in addition, it increases like a stand. The area that covers the screen has ridges to permit the situation to become quickly collapsed in to a standing place allowing in order to sort simply around the keyboard one to watch a film or even to place it at a slight point.
Overall I have not been unhappy with my IPAD by apple situation, almost 2 yrs in and with almost daily use it remains in issue that is good. My ipad has been protected by it properly with scars or no scores being apparent about the back. The sole small negative opinion I've is that when folded in to the standing position the circumstance has periodically slipped inducing the ipad since it is not extremely stable nonetheless it is uncommon that I actually do use it this way, to drop. This case is not very cheap compared to others but because it is made of leather and has been so tough I think the original charge was useful if I was to update my ipad and I could purchase one again.
My father kindly purchased me an ipad 4th generation almost 2 years ago and I was also lucky enough to be able to add on one of the apple cases to the purchase which has been used on my ipad since the first day to keep it clean and protected.
The apple ipad case came in a variety of colours but I opted for the grey to keep it neutral for both myself and my husband to use. I purchased my case from John Lewis where at the time it was priced at £45.
The ipad case is a little on the expensive side but I liked the features it stated it had and wanted to keep my ipad fully protected. The features include:
- Full coverage protecting both the back and the screen but also having the correct holes for the charger and headphones as well as raised/marked areas for the sleep and volume buttons. It also displays the apple logo on the back of the case.
- Made from leather with a flocked lining which helps to keep the screen protected and clean. It also feels soft and comfortable to hold and is non slip.
- The cover also wakes the ipad when opened and puts it into sleep mode when closed which ensures power saving when not in use.
- One feature that mostly attracted me to the case was the fact that it also doubles as a stand. The section that covers the screen has ridges to allow the case to be easily folded into a standing position to allow you to watch a film or to place it at a slight tilt so you can type easily on the keyboard.
Overall I have been happy with my apple ipad case, almost two years in and with almost daily use it is still in great condition. It has protected my ipad perfectly with no scratches or marks being visible on the back or screen. The only slight negative comment I have is that when folded into the standing position the case has occasionally slipped causing the ipad to fall as it is not very sturdy but it is rare that I do use it in this way. This case is quite expensive compared to others but as it is made from leather and has been so durable I think the initial cost was worthwhile and I would purchase one again if I was to upgrade my ipad.
We've owned a family ipad for a while now and we also own Apple's own version of a folded case to keep it in. As it's a gadget that we take out and about regularly (in fact it spends more time out of the house than in it!) then we wanted a good case for it to live in and assumed that Apple's version would be one of the better ones available. Luckily we managed to get hold of one from an exchange shop called CEX who buy and sell goods from the public. The case had been traded in previously with an unwanted ipad and was practically perfect in an 'as new' condition. I paid the amazing price of £7 for it when at the time it retailed for around £25 - today there's only one I can find, used on ebay for £13. This case fits the 1st generation ipad and Apple have since released a few more versions, including an ipad mini. As far as I know, this case is only suitable for the first generation full size ipad model because it is designed to expose it's buttons in specific places.
It measures 24.5cm x 19cm and once the ipad is slotted in, it's around 2cm deep. It is fairly lightweight on it's own although the first generation ipad is quite weighty so we don't receive much benefit from that - at least it's not adding to the weight though! As it's from Apple, it has a nice touch of the Apple logo in the middle of the front section.
The case we have is black, just as the one shown in the picture. It is made of a material that is horrendously hard to keep clean - ours picked up marks from the first couple of uses that have just built up over time. It feels like suede but I think it feels similar to other cases we've owned in the past which have usually been made from polyurethane (I can't find anywhere to confirm that online). It just isn't possible to clean off completely so it started looking quite tatty from fairly early on. I sometimes use a damp cloth on it (taking the ipad out first) but the majority of marks are still visible in some capacity.
The way the case works is great - it has a cover that folds over the screen when not in use which is great to protect it from everything else in my bag, but it can be folded back and tucked into a small tab on the back of the case whenever it's in use. This makes it into a small stand so it can be placed on a table to stand up as you watch whatever's on screen. We have used this countless times to play videos on there - it's super when we're travelling because it can keep my daughter entertained for a bit! It can either be laid completely flat on the table by not using the stand and just folding the case around completely, or it can be stood up so it's almost vertical by placing the case on it's side or it can just be raised from a flat position by placing it on it's back (that's the one we use a lot because it makes it more subtle when in a room of people or on a plane - we find standing it up vertically gets prying eyes as people walk past being nosey as to what's on!)
The sleeve fits the ipad perfectly, but this was to be expected considering it is an official Apple product made for an Apple gadget. It leaves small gaps to use the buttons for volume, the on/off switch, the headphone socket and a space for plugging the charger in that are also perfectly sized. There's a small section of casing around the ipad screen that holds it in place but the majority of the screen in on show, including the main homescreen button. The ipad slots into the side and then a small flap folds behind it to make it look neat and to ensure that it stays in place - ours has always felt very sturdy in there.
The ipad case is a good case in use but the material has really let it down. It just isn't the sort of material that I would expect to find on anything that is used away from the home or for heavy use - both categories that our ipad fit in to! It's extremely hard to clean and when shoved in a bag or placed in a public area with food around, it's bound to get marks on pretty quickly. I rate the case 3 dooyoo stars as I think it's a major floor - although the stand it has is a super feature - we've used the case for around 3 years now so it must be doing something right.
Thanks for reading :o)
I bought this case when I first bought my Ipad. So we got an offer on it. It's black and has a flexible over leaf that can fit into the one slot into the back to make a wedge. And has a piece of material you can tuck behind the Ipad once the Ipad is in it to keep it in snug and tight (even after the time that I've had it) It feels soft and velvety and I feel like it protects the Ipad enough from getting dirty (I tend to place it down in the kitchen a lot). I like that you can use the case as a stand or as a wedge. But the wedge isn't very high and it can be another to balance it sometimes, especially if you try to prop it up watching Air Tv at night. I'm in two minds about this case. I like the fact that it protects the Ipad but it can get a bit annoying when it suddenly loses balance and collapses. But I've had it for a while now and it's stood the test of time well so in that way I think it was worth the money. Although I can't seem to get it clean, it's looking a little sad. Still feels nice though! I think it could have really benefited from extra bends or extra slots in the back to make the wedge higher. I think I would buy another one nowdays if I needed to again. But i got it when it first came out and really I haven't seen the need to change it.
I purchased the official iPad case when I first purchased my iPad from PC World. After a couple of weeks I eventually ditched it, as I just didn't get on with it.
Yes, the meaning for a case is to protect. And this will do that, to some extent. However, it is so ugly! It really ruins the true beauty that comes with the iPad, just covering it up with a black rubbery material. Plus it is so easy to stain, I am really careful when using my iPad but somehow after a couple of weeks it was covered in stains and smears that were very hard to get rid of!
It has the ability to bend and support the iPad in various positions, but none of the possible positions have ever come to use of me, but they may do for you.
I regret buying this case, as it is just so ugly, an uncharacteristic move from Apple I must say! It is also priced ridiculously high (however competitors are high priced also) seeing that all it does is cover the iPad. If I had the choice again I would decline this case and go for a longer browse around as there must be better than this!
I bought this case soon after I got my iPad, and my iPad has not left its new home since. The case is a sleek black one, completely covering the back of the iPad, with a front cover which flips open like a book.
There is an ingenious little latch at the back of the case, which allows the iPad to be propped up at an angle when the front cover slides into it. This makes typing on the keyboard even more natural, and the better viewing angle makes for a more pleasant browsing experience on the whole. While in this configuration, you can also stand the iPad up vertically or horizontally (due to the wedge shape of the case). This allows the iPad to be used as a screen - often i have stood it up like this to watch movies.
My only gripes with the case is that in the wedge configuration, it can be slightly unstable when standing the iPad up in the landscape orientation. Unless you have a completely even, flat surface, the iPad is likely to topple. I'm sure this is not something you want to see happening to your precious new investment. Thankfully, most places where I have wanted to use the iPad in this way have had such a surface available.
Overall - an excellent purchase which has greatly mproved my productivity with the iPad. Highly recommendedd if you've already invested in the iPad.
