When I got my Blackberry torch I was quite anxious to get some kind of cover or case to protect it because it was an expensive phone and on a two year contract so I knew it needed to last me well. My brother has a Blackberry phone and carries it in a little leather pouch and seemed really impressed with it so I opted to buy one of those too.

I bought my Blackberry case online from ebay for just a few pounds. The seller claimed it was a genuine leather Blackberry case and to be honest I was dubious with the low price but ordered it regardless as it was identical to my brothers. When the case arrived though I have to say I was very impressed because as far as I can tell it is the genuine article.

The product is a black leather pouch which is stitched all the way around with just a gap at the top where you put the phone in. It features the Blackberry logo imprinted on both the front and the back and it feels sturdy and well made to be honest. Now with this case you slide your phone in to it and a little bit of the phone sticks out of the top because with a Blackberry a little led light flashes if you get a text or something so they want you to be able to see that so you know when you are being contacted. I thought this was quite a handy feature until I ran across a road with my phone in my pocket and it fell out and the part of the phone that wasn't protected by the case got all scuffed...I have to say I wanted to cry!

The phone fits very snugly in to the case which again I thought was a good feature however I soon noticed some small scuffs appearing on my screen protector as a result of pulling the phone out of the case and placing it back in throughout the day! Thankfully I did have a screen protector on the phone because otherwise my actual screen would have been scratched which I would have been furious about.

The case features some magnetic strips inside it so that when you slide your phone in it automatically puts it in to a sleep mode which conserves your battery and I do think this is a good idea to be honest.

I don't really use my case anymore since it fell out of my pocket. Don't get me wrong, the main part of my phone was well protected and it is purely cosmetic damage to the top corners of the phone but it is still something I was genuinely gutted about. I have now taken to putting a plastic cover on which initially I wouldn't do as I thought it made the phone look cheap but I have to say that I have got used to it and at least all of my phone is better protected now! I do think the leather case is handy if your phone is in your bag with your keys or something as it would help protect the screen from scratches....IF you have a screen protector too! I can't say I would really recommend buying the product though sadly.
