The Easyi Silicone Cover was available for the iPhone 4 and the 4S, I know this as I had the 4S and my daughter had the 4 but we had the same Easyi cover which we bought at the same time. I can't remember how much we paid but it was from Tesco, the current price as per Dooyoo's clever price comparison is £1.90 and I know ours were more than that in around 2012.
Our covers are both plain blue and the phone is simply pushed inside, there's no front to the cover and it just protects the back and sides - a screen protector would probably be a good idea if you're worried about spectacularly dropping your phone but neither of us bothered (and both ended up with broken screens at some point during the lives of our iPhone 4!
The cover fits well and still fits now, I took it out of the drawer today to write my review and slipped it onto the iPhone 4 my four year old uses to watch You Tube clips on - the fit is perfect, the silicone moulds itself around the edges of the phone to form a protective band which does more to keep the phone safe from knocks and bangs than you would ever think.
When placing my iPhone 4 down I can feel that the cover is protecting it as it gives the phone a bit of bounce when it connects to a hard surface. The phone David is using now used to belong to Charlotte, he has a different case on it now but when it was new the Charlotte only used the Easyi cover and still the back of the phone is pretty much scratch free - I started using mine without a cover for a while and mine was horribly messed up by the time I replaced the phone so it just shows it's worth taking care of your iProduct even if it's just with a simple cover like this.
The silicone protective cover for the i-phone 4 is a must have accessorie. Having recently purchased one myself im so pleased i invested in one myself. Me and my best mate purchased our new i-phone 4 at the same time & that evening i purchased a protective cover for my phone whilst my mate decided not to bother. We have both since dropped our phones on the hard concrete which resulted in my mates screen being smashed & my phone being undamaged & perfectly fine all because i invested a few pounds by buying a cover for my phone.
The protective cover actually looks surprisingly good & not cheap and tacky like i thought it might look. So to anyone considering buying the Easyi protective cover i would totally do it, otherwise you might regret it like my best mate did as it cost him over £90 to get a replacement screen.
I recently became the proud owner of a brand new iPhone 4 and whilst the build quality of the phone gave me little to complain about, it's fantastically made after all, I was concerned about how it would cope with everyday use. I'm not the most careful of people, I can be clumsy at times and owing a phone that costs over £500 to buy is a responsibility that I take very seriously. I'm forever picking up and putting down my phone and was concerned that it would start to show signs of wear and tear or, more likely, become scratched and battered. Due to the dimensions of the phone it isn't the most discrete piece of technology anyone could own and it soon occurred to me that I should look at buying some sort of cover for it just to give it an added layer of protection. Amazon was my first port of call and whilst searching for iPhone 4 covers I spotted the subject of this review: a clear gel silicone protective armour case which came supplied with a screen protector, reduced in price from its RRP of £7.99 to £4.79 I decided it wasn't too high a price to pay so placed my order and a few days later it popped through my letter box.
===Armour Case & Screen Cover===
As shown in the supplied illustration this is a 2 part kit and comes packaged seperatley as a cover which fits over the reverse side of the phone and transparent piece of film which fixes onto the phones screen. The case itself is also transparent but features a design of increasing circles on it and fits snugly under the iPhone and up the sides. The case itself is cool to the touch and is malleable enough to mould itself to the phone whilst providing a very snug fit. It isn't tight though and can easily be removed and replaced if so desired and all of the buttons on the iPhone can still be easily accessed as the case has holes which are of the same size and shape of all the buttons that are on the sides of the phone.
The screen protector is just that, a piece of transparent film which is applied to the screen of the phone, this is a little tricker to fix into position as there is a tendancy for it to slip or leave little air bubbles. Once in place though and smoothed out it is perfectly fine and does what you would want a screen protector to do. My touchscreen is still as responsive as it was without the protector on it and even though it could be prone to lift at the edges if handled too roughly the fact that it seems to slot under the edges of the case itself means that it should stay put for as long as you want it to. I've never experienced any slippages and now that it has been used many times since it was first introduced to my phone it simply sits in place and I forget it is there most of the time to be honest.
There's very little to actually say about this kit, it provides some protection for an expensive item and does exactly what I wanted it to. It doesn't get in my way, I can still access the volume buttons on my phone and can easily fit my charger without it getting caught on any edges and I know that my phone is safe from scratches and scuffs. For the little this actually cost it has proven itself to be a valuable addition to my phone and it was a required purchase as far as I'm concerned. It stands to reason that anyone who is willing to spend hundreds of pounds on something as easily damaged as a mobile phone should want to give it some protection and this provides exactly that.
I like the fact that it doesn't add any extra weight to the handset, the pattern on the back is appealing to the eye and it doesn't make the phone stand out. It doesn't make my phone look cheap or tacky which I find can be the case with some other covers that are available and for me this is a discrete addition to my phone which has given me some peace of mind that scratches and scuff can be avoided. It obviously isn't going to protect the phone from breaking if dropped but I don't think it was designed to do that anyway, all I wanted was something that would preserve my phones case and screen and this is what this kit does.
For anyone with an iPhone 4 this 2 piece kit should be something that you consider, it fits easily in place, it doesn't slip or move and for the money it costs it's well worth buying. There are no reasons for me to deduct any stars as far as my rating is concerned so five stars from me based on everything I have discussed in this review. Available from amazon for the price I paid - £4.79 it's one to buy and comes highly recommended by me.
