      superb phone case

This case really did feel really well made - even having a fluffy inside to kee your phone nice and cozy! It protected the phone well despite numerous falls over the years. The majority of the case was made of a lovely smelling black leather, but the sides were made of black elastic and a clear plastic section at the front allowed you to see the screen and buttons on the phone. As you can see on the picture, the top couple of centimetres of the phone were covered by the case but a few holes in the leather allowed you to hear the speaker on the phone without any difficulty. A belt clip to the rear was simple to use and held the phone in place even when I was being fairly active. Finally, one excellent feature was that the bottom of the case had a small hole that lined up perfectly with the socket for the charger.

What was it like to use?

You opened the flap at the top of the case and slid the phone inside. The flap then attached to the back of the case with velcro. It was a good tight fit and held the phone securely. Once inside the case you could operate the phone as normal by pressing the buttons through the clear plastic front. The only button that you could not get to was the one for power on the top of the phone as it was covered by the leather section of the case. The plastic front itself allowed you to press the buttons as normal, was easy to clean, did not really show up finger marks or reflect light and despite several years of use never cracked or showed any other signs of wear and tear. All in all I was very impressed.

So it was a perfect product?

If I am being picky there were a couple of problems with this case. Firstly the elastic sides did not cover the full length of the case. This meant that dust would often get inside. Also the leather on belt clip started to come away after around 6 months use. This exposed the metal beneath and made it look a bit tatty

      Conclusion

This case was fantastic - in terms of protecting the phone 10/10 and for looks and useability a good 9.5

Built to protect and built to last

After my recent review of an old friend, my well loved Nokia 3210, I had thought about reviewing one of the other Nokia phones I have that still works, my 3310. When checking it was listed the other day I came across a listing for the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case which is 'THE' very case I had with the 3310 model. In fact I think its still lurking about in a draw somewhere. I liked it so much I had to review it.

The Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case was made from lovely soft yet strong black cows leather. At the time I bought it, I paid a whole £9.99 for it which was a fairly high price to pay at the time. I wanted something that oozed quality, as after all my Nokia deserved a bit of pampering and protection and this case certainly provided plenty of that.

      **********************************************************
The way the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case worked was very simple. All I had to do was to slip the phone inside the case and then use the simple velcro closings at the top front and rear to seal it safely within the body of the case. The inside was made of a soft fabric which was kind of nylony yet cottony, but in a nice and snug slightly flat but fluffy kind of way.

The sides of my Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case were made from a very stretchy but snug fitting elastic material. This was also in matt black and the woven elastic fabric not only gave a very snug fit to the phone inside, but also had rather a nice texture to it. It came almost to the top 1/4 of the case, but left a decent gap at the top, which allowed the colour of the actual phone to be seen.

      **********************************************************
The front of the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case was made from a slim but durable see through plastic material. This was something that covered the whole of the front of the phone, yet allowed access to the buttons and provided a very good view of the screen display.

The sides of the plastic front cover were very well stitched into place around the front edges of the leather case. Throughout the whole time I was regularly using the phone, the stitching remained fully intact and did not fray or break. This was something that I found to be excellent.

      *********************************************************
I did have to remove the phone from the case from time to time, as one thing that did happen was that crumbs, dust or dirt could get behind the plastic front at times. This was in spite of the snug fit of the case, but was easily dealt with by a quick shake of the case and a wipe of both the inside of the plastic front and the phone front.

Another great thing about the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case was that it had a belt clip, which I did use when out in the garden or around the home. I found that it was very good and clipped over a belt or even over a pocket very easily. The actual clip was made from a very strong and slightly flexible metal material. This was then covered with more of the black cows leather and was stitched all the way around. Once this was clipped in place, well, it was clipped in place and had to be almost prized free it was that secure.

      **********************************************************
Any mobile phone is going to need charging from time to time and the
makers of the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case had thought of that too. There was an access point for the charger cable input to be inserted into the phone, which was built into the case. This meant that you didn't have to take the phone out of its case to charge it up.

The final point about the case design, was the fact that there were a series of punched holes in the top front centre of the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case. These were there to allow for you to hear anyone speaking to you on the phone and although they looked rather small. I recall hoping the 5 small punched holes would be adequate to do the job and I can say that they were more than up to the job, as I could hear loud and clear.

      **********************************************************
To sum up the Hama Classic Nokia Mobile Phone Case I have to say it worked very well for me. It wasn't a cheap case at the time of purchase, but would perhaps be considered a mid range case today. I found it did what it should and protected the phone really well.

Having dropped the phone on more than one occasion I can say that not only was the case undamaged, but the phone inside it was in pretty good working order too. With all this in mind I have to rate the case as a 5 star item as it really stood up well to the job it was made for.
