I'm terrible with phones. I drop them pretty much all the time or quite often lose them on trains and busses due to them falling our of my pockets. I think in the past three years i've spent close to two grand on phones, fixing phones and unlocking phones. I am really that bad. So when my partner and i decided that we needed iPhones last year- namely to use the FaceTime function when i went away to America but have proven to be essential for my Uni course and my new job, i was terrified.
However, thanks to this dudey (what? it's a word i swear) little accessory my clumsiness with phones has become a lot less of a worry. After having my iPhone 4 for a year inevitably i've dropped it, banged it, and on one occasion gotten very frustrated with it ad it lost half of my online homework that i'd spent four hours working on and thrown it across the room, and my iPhone- hold on, let me just check- nope, doesn't even have a scratch on it. Unlike my partners who cracked the back of his screen and chipped two of the corners. He doesn't have the Otterbox phone case, preferring to go for this flimsy thing that looks like an original gamebot on the back. Boys will be boys.
The Otter box iPhone 4 silicone case is easy to put on and take off the iPhone, ridiculously durable, surprisingly waterproof (living in England i've inevitably dropped my phone in a few puddles- something which without this case would have cost me whatever ridiculous prices they're charging for iPhones these days) and probably the most important feature for someone like me is that this case makes the iPhone very grippy, meaning that it's really hard for it to just slip out of your pocket.
As it's specifically made for the iPhone 4 (and 4S) it has all the buttons and holes necessary to allow use of the iPhone as if it didn't have a case, which is important as it covers the sides, top and bottom of the phone to stop chips and cracks happening in those areas, along with helping you know which is the right way to put the case on the phone. Though the funny part of this design is that there is a hole made specifically to show the Apple logo on the back of the phone.
The only downside of this case is that it can make the iPhone look and feel quite chunky... But if you're anything like me this is actually another asset because you can keep better track of a bulkier phone. The case itself also comes with screen covers for both the front and back of the phone for that extra bit of protection, but can prove quite taxing to put on even with the little card they give to get rid of the bubbles that can come up upon application. I'm never really good at getting things right first time round but with these screen covers if you don't get right first time round it never looks right and you can't redo it.
All in all this is a must have product if your a clutz with phones like me, it just saves so much stress and money. I got mine on Amazon for £7.49 last year, the prices might've gone down by now but even if they haven't it's well worth the investment.
