WHAT IS IT?
This is a stand to put an iPad 3 on so you can stand it up instead of holding it if you need still to see the screen.
WHY I BOUGHT IT
I bought this because I like to watch old English childrens TV episodes on You Tube with my daughters and I was becoming tired of holding the iPad up so that we could all see for 20 minutes every time. We have got a Smart TV that you can play You Tube through but we do not use the lounge in the day and that is why we use the Ipad.
WHAT I THINK
I think this stand is very good and it is simple to use because it is only a stand and does not do other things. You place the iPad onto the bottom legs and rest it back against the back, I think the stand is alot more stable than it looks and I never worry that my iPad is going to be knocked over.
The iPad stays where I put it and it does not slide off the legs even though it looks like it is going to. You can use the touch screen while it is on the stand but the front circle button cannot be pushed in as much as it needs to be because that moves the iPad and makes it unstable.
I like to watch You Tube now that I have got this stand because I can put the iPad down and the stand is straight so that everyone can see as good as everyone else. I like also that the camera can still be used while it is on the stand.
This stand costs about £25 and that sounds like a lot of money but I think it is value because it is the best stand that I have used and I have had about 5 for my iPads that I have owned. This one feels and looks like good quality and it is the most stable out of all of them also.

Accessory for iPad / The compact Twelve South Compass stand can go anywhere you take your iPad 2 or iPad. Made from heavy gauge steel, it holds your iPad in your choice of two different modes. Upright as an easel, Compass displays your iPad in portrait or landscape orientation, which is great for watching movies, iPhoto slideshows, or paging through a book. Flip down the secondary leg and Compass becomes a handy workstation that angles your iPad to the perfect position for typing emails or updating your Facebook status. Once you're done, fold up Compass and place it neatly in your computer bag or backpack.
