Advantages: Sleek, stylish, functional as well as cool

Disadvantages: Sometimes slow response times.

My LG Cookie - Had it for just under a month now and pretty happy with it so far.

Opening up the box on arrival, everything is neatly packaged as it should be with two protective covers for the touchscreen, 1 already being attached to it and a spare. (Can pick up more spares for around 6 for 99p). usual charger, manual, data cable and installation CD for computer (I have still not done this!)

Charge up phone and have a play, the games which typically, me a man, tried out first, there is only one worth playing in my opinion and thats 'Pipe Game', and its the typical type of game where you arrange the pipes so the water can get through pretty cool but the other games are a bit of a waste of time - I haven't downloaded any yet either.

Screen is nice, touch functionality is pretty good, sliding image gallery with either finger or nicely embedded stylus pen at bottom of the phone, (don't lose it though - its not attatched!)

the rotational sensor that detects which way the phone is up does not work all that quickly and distinctly slower than the iPhone/iTouch, even worse when trying to write a text and getting the keypad to move around.

Writing texts can be a chore and I find i can't write lengthy texts on the move anymore, its just too awkward with the risk of walking into a lamppost even with using your finger and not the stylus, the letters are slow to update on the screen after you have pressed them.

Camera is a 3.0 megapixel jobby but not all that impressive, I may be asking a lot though because i have a nikon DSLR and am used to the quality of that, it's still no where near as good as my wifes K850i camera phone.

Polyphonice ringtones and message alerts some jazzy ones that are ok but i suggest downloading some asap.

Battery life is quite impressive for a touchscreen phone and i find it quite good, even with viewing videos and playing games.

Music player is currently untested by me im afraid as ive not uploaded any.

Summary: A good phone i would recommend

Thanks for the info about the phone. How does the contract side of it work out?
