Advantages: Reception, User friendly, Photo quality
Disadvantages: USB Port, Phone games
Where to start? Well I've had my Motorola since Christmas, and I still love it. This phone has style, it looks fantastic, and I am often told this by friends. The phone arrived in a very slick gray box, and even though it took me a while to get into it! I was blown away at how attractive and sleek the phone is up-close.
WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THIS PHONE
1. Its screen is large and bright which makes it perfect for viewing videos and pictures.
2. The features on the phone are brilliant. The phone holds up to 2000 messages so for keen texters like myself it is a god send, no more hours spent deleting old messages!
3. The phone has Bluetooth, MMS, SMS, and great photo quality
4. The phone comes with a software package which is straight forward to use, it helps with organizing files/calendar/phonebook and all music files
5. A problem with some of my old phones was reception. However since I've had the V8 I have always found it has a great signal.
6. Easy to use Voice Dialing. The phone has great voice recognition and I have no complaints.
7. The sidebars on the V8 are fully customizable and can be changed to suit the user.
THE PHONES CAMERA
Is efficient and easy to use. The picture quality with the V8 is superb especially when viewed on the phones large screen. All photos can also be modified on the phone to rotate/crop/resize or even add sounds. A slideshow option can also be used. The style of the photos can also be changed into Black&White, Antique, Negative...e.t.c
The video camera gives steady playback with great sound quality. These videos will play even better once on your computer.
BATTERY
The phone comes with a battery saving option which is great, but I have never felt the need to use it. The battery is very good and will last as long as any other phone. You can also charge the phone through your PC. Just be warned that if you leave your Bluetooth on constantly you will find the battery depletes in a couple of hours.
Now for the DOWNSIDES
1. The major problem with this phone is the USB port, it is not easy to open and sometimes feels like you'll have to break it to get in. Although it's never broken it feels fragile.
2. I have found that when listening to music the track can be changed too easily when in your pocket, simply because the buttons are too accessible. The phone can be locked but I find it too much of an effort, to keep locking and unlocking the phone.
3. Although the software is quite easy to use, iPod users will find it a hassle because transferring music is not as simple as iTunes
4. The phone games are very limited, there are only two! Sudoku, which isn't bad if you're into it. And a football game that is very hard to play.
However, overall this phone is great I have been complimented on the way it looks and its never been a burden to use. Feel free to leave any comments or question for anymore info, and I'll do my best to help... Alan
Summary: A very stylish phone.
