N73 Series not 4 me (Nokia N73 with Contract)
Member Name: RockieD
Advantages: Good phone, bright back light Disadvantages: Parts broke easily, too big, camera didn't always work
The Nokia N73 is not the greatest phone of the N series but is definitely a good phone with a wide variety of features and applications. The phone has two cameras with the front camera being of a lower quality as it is designed particularly for video calling, the phone is designed to work with the 3g messenger service. The second camera I felt was a really good quality for a phone and had 3.2 mega pixels which was excellent for taking photos on, particularly as the phone has such a wide screen. This brings me to the size of the phone, however, which is not one of its best features and I found that the phone was bulky, difficult and uncomfortable to squeeze into my pocket. The phone can give a nice loud ring which is ideal if you're always missing calls simply because you can't hear the phone. However the text message alarms, (which were very difficult to change) were so loud and sudden I practically had a heart attack with every text. The alarm clock on the phone as its a Nokia tells you how many hours you have until the alarm clock goes off which is thoroughly depressing if your a uni student averaging 4 hours of sleep a night, you are also not able to make multiple alarms. The phones memory capacity is quite large and useful for holding songs and pictures which both could be played in a high quality. Despite the camera being very good if often froze or said hardware failure and therefore was extremely frustrating. Another annoying feature of the phone was a blue flashing light that from the day I got the phone would flash consistently at random intervals for no reason at all, trust me! This meant I had to turn my phone off every night or hide it in a shoe so the light didn't disrupt my sleep. The phone was very much for, I'd imagine an office worker who might benefit from the email and organizer facilities the phone offered, but for me they went unused. Summary: An ok phone but you could buy better |
