Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: poor battery life, too complicated
I am not a techno person so when I was offered this phone on contract I took, it was easily persuaded with the list of gadgets and software it offered.
Nokias best phone, it was eagily anticipated or so they say!
Complete with 16 GB built-in memory, GPS satellite navigation, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 3G video calling, and every other gadget you can think of, even and i Player with a cute little pull out stand.
When I received it I was alittle disappointed as it was so big and manly and heavy! But I persisted with it, I tried to bond as much as I could!
The phone is nice to look at, very stylish with a nice shiny black fascia, but that is all, battery life is poor, you have to charge it every night and if you use it alot during the day the battery dies.
I have had to have my N96 replaced twice in the time I've had it due to the battery and when I was sending txts it would continuously send the same txt 10-20 times or not send at all, pretty infuriating for myself and those receiving my txts.
Another problem I have had is with the camera; 5 mega pixels, the best camera in any mobile. But I find it hard to use, there are so many options that I loose my patients. I find I have to hold my finger down for too long to take a picture, and I am not always convinced with the quality when I compare with other mob pictures.
The phone has so many gadgets and software, but there are no games unless you pay for them! It does have a programme called msg reader, which reads back your texts messages for you in an american accent, thats quite funny to use when your bored.
In general the phone is too complicated to get around!
Summary: Too much software, resulting in poror battery life.
