The W300i is one of the latest phones to come from the Sony Ericsson stable.
To be honest, I previously had the Motorola V3x and as it constantly crashed I decided to upgrade to a newer and different make of mobile.
Being a Robbie Williams fan I had heard that there would be a new and exclusive limited edition "Robbie phone" available on T-Mobile.
I will basically review the W300i and not the Robbie Edition as that would be unfair to non Robbie fans.
Once I received my new phone I was amazed as to how light it was, compared to my previous phone this was as light as a feather. The phone was very aesthetically pleasing, a brushed black cover with camera lens and a mirror at the top, a bright orange screen in the middle and below that the trademark "Walkman" logo.
This phone has all the features I was looking for in a phone, the features I wanted are as follows :-
Camera
Bluetooth
MP3
Wap
Calendar
Expandable Memory
Games
The camera isn't the best on earth but it also isn't the worst, and aside from the camera it has the Sony Ericsson exclusives such as VideoDJ and PictureDJ, these allow you to edit and play about with your pictures and videos, for example you can take a video and delete uncle Bob from the middle with no obvious editing! Its a superb tool that I find myself playing with for hours! - Poor Uncle Bob!!!!
I like a phone that fits in the palm of my hand and I haven't got the biggest hands but this phone fits the bill perfectly. The Walkman feature is fantastic, with the phone I received a 256mb memory card which can be upgraded to 1gb.
You can create playlists etc (As many as you wish), the phone also has a small ledge on the back of the phone which lifts the speaker off the surface you sit it on, this is a unique and superb feature as with most phones the sounds are dimmed due to the speaker being sat straight onto the surface, this raises it so that the sounds can be heard as they should.
I have this phone on the T-Mobile Flext 35 plan, which for £35 per month I have an allowance of £180 to spend however I like on Calls, Messages and Picture messages, on contract the phone is free.
All in all this is a great little phone, I would highly recommend it for all phone users and especially Robbie Williams fans!
To get this phone on Pay & Go will cost approx £129.00.
If your interested in the Robbie version then this is only available on T-Mobile and for a limited time only.
You can also pick up a W300i from Ebay for about £100.00
