When you're listening to the radio and you hear a song you like but you don't know what it's called, ask TrackID. Record a few seconds of the song and use TrackID to send the music for recognition. In seconds, you'll have the name, artist and album in your phone. With the W850i, you always have a camera at hand to catch that special moment. The 2.0-megapixel camera includes a 4x digital zoom and a horizontal user interface. The second camera sits above the phone screen and is used for video calls. Use the W850i's 3G capabilities for fast downloads and video telephony. Browse the Internet or get the latest news delivered directly to your phone via RSS feeds. The Sony Ericsson W850i is a rather eye-catching phone, with its pulsating lights and all the other eye-catching effects. Although Sony Ericsson is rather new to slide phones, the slide on this phone is smooth and hasn't jammed once for me. The phone's functions are great, especially TrackID which scans a piece of music which you want to know the title of and sends you the details (data transmission charges may apply). However, the keys at the top row are rather hard to press, especially when a case has been attached to the phone. Bluetooth functions and the rest are all ... Read the complete review

Like any man, I love my technology. My shiny new Sony Ericsson W850i is my new toy and I can happily spend hours fiddling with it. After three years with my battered, war hardened Siemens SL55 I thought it was time for an upgrade but I was buggered if I was going to pay the £250 retail price for this. Step forward Vodafone who enthusiastically offered me the phone for free on an eighteen month contract. Of course as with all contracts you pay a hefty monthly sum but I find £12.50 per month for six months and £25 thereafter quite reasonable. Particularly as it includes 300 minutes and 500 texts which is adequate for my needs and means I rarely get a phone ... Read the complete review

I got this phone as part of my contract with Carphone Warehouse. Jonny's got the older version and has had Sony Erricsons before so I knew from him that Sony Erricson phones are a reliable brand. Something which is essential for me as I have had bad experiences with Motorola and LG phones in the past. The W850i is one of their walkman phones and so amongst other features it has a pretty good walkman. I'm a big on my music so getting this phone saved me from replacing my broken MP3 player, bargain!!! According to the Sony Ericsson website their Walkman phones have recieved numerous awards. The W850i itself earned the company awards for #1 Hot Buy from ... Read the complete review

I had this phone on contract with 3, the service was great and the phone always had great network. This is a brilliant walkman phone and the memory card slot allows for expandable memory so you can fit many more songs it. I don't normally use my phone for many different functions, just text and phonecalls....obviously; however with this phone on the 3 contract i had free internet and i found the browser really easy to use, downloading games etc was easy and on my contract a i had a set limit of download per month... for FREE. This phone was perfect for me as i am always on the move or doing some form of work at the computer and so music is a key thing for me ... Read the complete review

I've had this phone on an O2 contract for well over a year now - so long that the Carphone Warehouse have been bugging me to get my upgrade! However, I didn't want an upgrade, because there aren't any phones out there that I want more than this one. Every piece of technology - at least for me - has its issues. The problems I've had with this phone are mainly it turning itself off for no reason every few months lately... But, since it doesn't do that at all regularly or often, it doesn't bother me much. I love the walkman on it - Stores a good amount of songs (you don't really need any more than it stores), and it works well. IT's easy to navigate ... Read the complete review
