Nokia E61: ... am using Nokia E61i phone since last three months. It s really very good PDA mobile phone. I liked all the features - like voice clarity, distinct audio quality, clear video etc. and very distinct from any other phone. The WLAN and GPRS access quality is also good. keys are very soft and light weight. Battery consumption is less. Bluetooth connectivity is good. GPS is there- but I did not registered for it as off...

... does a E61i compare to a Blackberry? Before I answer, I would like to point out my profile: business user who is after easy access to email on the go and ability to use phone functions. Though I like my gadgets, I do not consider my phone more than a tool to call, receive emails and occasionally browse the web! I have used various blackberries for the past 4 years and unfortunately due to a company policy had to switch to a E61i in order to receive emails on the go. From a blackberry users perspective, the E61i is a nightmare: - there is a delay of about 3 seconds between pressing a button and actually being able to see a message. ... my company implemented the No camera phone policy, I decided to get the E61 after going through Nokia s long list of phones. The E61 fits well on my palm & since my fingers are long, I can easily operate it with one hand. I like the big screen which is useful when viewing documents & browsing. Phone response is fast enough ( faster than the Nokia N73). The QWERTY keyboard style is small & I typically use my finger nail to select the keys. The 16 million colour screeen is nice & clear when displays pictures/videos well. Speaker output is clear & I quite often use the Speaker phone for conversations. Music output is good but still lack the standard ...

... have had this phone for a year now, and I ve used it a lot. I bought it because I needed to get online without a phone line (I live on a boat, so no landlines), and it has been excellent in this regard, happily connecting to my Linux powered laptop and other people s windows machines. The only bad bits are the rubbish integrated browser, the frankly embarassing PC suite software (it doesn t work, Google Nokia PC suite and see what I mean) and slightly lacklustre build quality (the phone charging socket developed a dodgy connection after a couple of months, now I need to use a universal charger with an everso slightly larger plug in order to charge it). Battery life is r...
