O2 XDA Zest:
... had an issue with them other than battery life getting bad, which you expect in an 18 month old phone especially once you ve had it for nearly a year after. So they would last about 2 and a half years or so. I m sure you can imagine my delight when I went to join O2 myself and had the option of my own, brand new XDA; naturally I jumped at the chance. All the features (Internet access, Microsoft office mobile) a... Read the full review: A blip on the radar or a sign of things to come? by Rook252 |

O2 Xda Ignito ... XDA Ignito, is the O2 network version of the HTC Touch Diamond. I had the luxury (?) of trying both of these HTC products out, and I was left with a mix of emotions. O2 XDA Ignito runs on the notorious Windows Mobile 6.1, with its powerful (?) and yet useless 500+Mhz processor. Yes, you would have thought with such a processor (it was just 10 years ago that 500Mhz computers were being sold 500+pounds) would run any OS smoothly. Oh hold that thought, because you re very mistaken. I ve mentioned this a few times in other reviews of phones running Windows, but I cannot stress enough that the processor isn t good enough to run it. May as well get a cheap low end NOkia, w... O2 XDA Zest ... XDA Zest from O2 is a combined mobile telephone and PDA, or "palm top" PC. It has a standard 3" screen, but its compact design means that it will still slip easily into a shirt pocket. Utilising its inbuilt GPS, the Zest is able to take advantage of point to point navigation software such as TomTom. Fully 3G enabled and with Wi-Fi built in, you have mobile internet access on the go. The phone comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 pre-installed, including Internet Explorer and Media Player. Using a micro SD card, you can expand the storage to an impressive 32Gb; more than an iPhone. Battery life is not great compared to a standard phone, but excellent as a... O2 Cocoon ... charging as the charger is shaped so as not to allow the phone to be flipped open which is irritating. The odd charger also means that you can t use emergency chargers which are so useful in a sticky situation, as I found myself in when I was at Glastonbury. Although the design is great and the phone looks really cool, in a practical sense it is fairly useless and I have decided to change phones as I keep missing texts from friends or receiving them very late, which is of course a problem! Maybe it s just the network, ie O2, but I do receive all my texts now I ve changed phones. I don t think you can get this phone on any other networks either, as it is an O2 phone....
