Sagem MY 300C
by chaobreeder16
Personally I am not the type of person who wants or will pay for the newest phone out there with additional features such as the ability to hold 2GIGs of music or whatever. I have a perfectly good creative zen which holds 30GIGS worth of pictures, music and videos, it probably has longer battery life also and can be charged up on ... computers wiis and xbox 360s. I also have no need for a camera on my phone as I have a fairly decent digital camera which can also record short movie clips. So in short this phone is probably perfect for me.
Physical Appearance
Well really it is not very interesting, black and silver but I have jazzed mine up with some metallic stickers. On the outside there is a little blue light in the middle of its front also beneath the camera this lights up to tell you when you have a message, phone call or the phone is being charged, however this is pretty handy if you are in a class or lecture and you have your phone on silent it doesn't disrupt the session. It is also very small but that suits me fine as I am not one of these girls that like to carry around a huge bag. The keypad is very easy to navigate and lights up blue when you flip up the lid although it may be a bit annoying if you have big hands or fingers. The screen is quite small also but it is in colour and displays the time, date once you set them, signal, GPRS, battery and the network you are connected to.
Menus
The menu features are games, messages, calendar, WAP/internet, camera, phonebook, applications, my documents and settings. When I purchased this phone it came with soduku and airstrike but you can purchase other games for around £3 each online. The WAP makes looking up your emails on the go easy also but you do have to pay for it with phone credit and it is quite difficult to email people back with such a small screen, it also doesn't let you use links and most websites do not come up. It also doesn't work in some areas with bad reception. The camera is very low quality so I don't use it though my little cousin plays with it quite regularly when he visits. The applications are pretty basic; they only include an alarm, calculator and to do list but I still find use for those when the batter in my alarm clock or I need to remember something and don't have a pen or paper.
Durability
I think I must have had this phone about a year now and I must have dropped it a hundred times by now and it's still in one piece so I am pleased with that. The same could be said about its charger which usually ends up at the bottom of my bag; it's still intact and charges my phone efficiently.
Price
Pretty reasonable I thought. When I purchased this phone I think it was £30 put this included a top up on the phone also and I was not expecting all those extra features as well. All I wanted was a basic phone that did what it said on the tin so I was very satisfied. Read the complete review |

Sagem MY 511X

The phone; Sagem my 511x
Comes in only one colour and that is black.
Firstly this phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera with up to 6x zoom, the camera i feel is of a low quality. I dont use the camera because it is of such a low quality, However i cant really complain as it is only £25, i got mine from asda at £24.99, I needed ... a quick phone and this fit the bill.
In addition to the quick phone, i feel the quality of the phone has decreased through time, i find that the signal quality is always low. The battery is quite good actually, it lasts but there is no warning untill the last second that the phone is going to switch off when the battery is dead... on a previous phone it warned me when there was at least 30 minutes of life left.
Another Problem i have found is the phone has a really bad MP3 player built in that has a scratchy, grainy qulity play back, and when you turn the volume up the quality just gets worse.
It also has bluetooth so you are able to send and recive files from and to other moblie phones, the connection speed varys, somethimes it can be really fast and other times just plain slow. And the phone has a long conection react, i think it is about 5 meters.
As long as you have topped up you are able to surf the internet and download games, however you are already given some demo games from orange on the phone, if you do not wish to waste money downloading more.
The phone has a vibrating feature on it, so when it is on silent you can hear it, only when the area around you is SILENT, and if the phone is in your pocket you cant feel it vibrating unless your as still as a satue!!
This phone practically doesn't have a memory and i find i am always having to delete text messages, (sent, received and drafts) However there is a micro SD card slot so your memory can be made much bigger.
I also find that this phone tends to crash, like a computer it just stops working and i have to take the battery out and put it back in to get it to start working again, everythime it happens to me, my screen just desolves and goes white and stays like that untill i remove the battery, Brilliant ... The phone quailty is reflected in the price LOW ! ! ! Read the complete review |

Sagem MY C4-2
by idoodooyou
What a fantastic little phone!
I bought one of these when they first came out and have it now almost two and a half years, which by my standards shows a pretty sturdy little phone as mine usually dont live very long!
It has a lovelly silver and pearl front with a tiny led light which changes colour, depending on how ... you are using the phone. Upon flipping open, the menu is simple and easy to navigate, divided into 9 catagories....
Settings
Applications
Organizer
Games
Operator
Multimedia
Camera
Messages
Contacts....
.... each then divided into sub-catagories.
The phone is so small I can carry it in even my tiniest handbags, great for night's out. It has huge multi-media capacity and picture and sound quality are great, considering the technological advances in this area since.
All in all its uses are pretty basic, Phone calls, sms, mms, organizer etc but I think this is fantastic for anyone who just wants a phone they can use for calls and messages and not much else. Read the complete review |
