... the thing with this phone is that innitially its a great buy, but in the long run things get difficult. eventually, the already prolonged loading screens depicting a counting hand gets longer, and things begin to be more difficult. the worst thing that happened to my phone was the exiting new "joystick" feature begun to get harder to move, until eventually it had no effect uon the phone, which meant i could only navigate the menu and phone book with extreme difficultuy. also i found the texting very tediou...more

INTRO: I am a techie (musician, recording engineer etc.) so I like my gadgets to do stuff and I use most of their facilites. However, I am mobophobic - my mobile is for txts, voicemail and very occasional calls. GOOD: The 303 looks good, is light and compact and lasts ages on one charge. (Over a week on standby). I like the charging cradle, much better than a plug. Menu layout and navigation is quite good. The best thing about it for me is that is has a speaker phone capability. Great for hanging on during droning menu lists or music on hold, I would really miss it if I didn't have it. Volume is adjustable via the nav key. For a budget phone, it has ... It already went being hour to renew my old motorola D520, that so good service gave me during these two years, by a new smaller, manageable terminal, with a greater duration of the battery and that offered better benefits to me. Previously to actually coming across this mobile phone, I wasn't much of an Alcatel fan. This changed from the moment I used this magnificent communicator. And that is because it is a communicator that can be accessed totally using your thumb!
