Good phone for calls, texts & MP3s. But expect absolutely nothing more!

Advantages: Stylish, Cheap, generic USB connection, good quality touchscreen, good music player
Disadvantages: Hideously underpowered processor, slow internet browsing, slow movie playing, just slow
I bought this phone a year or two back because I wanted a touchscreen phone. No other reason that that. I wanted to be part of this new fad of having a touchscreen phone. And being the tight-fisted consumer I am, I wanted a cheap touchscreen phone.
This phone fit the bill in this area very well. As a rule resistive touchscreens aren't as sensitive or reliable as capacitative touchscreens, but I had no problem dialling, writing texts or selecting options on the menus. The small case even has room to fit a small stylus so you can tap easier. The case was quite stylish. Some may find the plastic case slightly tacky, but I liked it. However I did go for the silver edged case, which looked good. The green edged case looked absolutely horrible!
When texting, the screen changes to the standard phone number layout. So you end up texting exactly the same way as you would on a standard phone, which kind of defeats the object of a touchscreen phone. It does have predictive text, which is a bonus.
Battery time is good, and call clarity is also good. Neither are exceptional, but they do the job very well. The in-built MP3 player is good, and tracks are played well and sound good (although buying an adaptor so that you can listen through headphones is recommended for very good sound quality)
The one thing that lets this phone down big style is its internal processor. To call it underpowered would be an understatement. Video is unwatchable on this handset, frame speed is 1-2fps. The in-built browser lets you surf the net, but at such a ridiculously slow speed that you'll soon stop trying. If you use your phone for playing J2ME games, you'll find the interface used to emulate keypresses very easy to use, but the game plays at such a slow speed you'll never want to play games at all. I was able to make internet browsing slightly quicker by installing Opera Mini and using that over the default browser, but even this was disturbingly slow.
One added bonus that is underrated in my opinion is that the phone uses a standard mini USB connection for power. Meaning any computer with the right usb lead can charge this phone or transfer files to/from it. And it does have a microSD slot, so you can boost the memory up.
So its a lovely basic little phone, and if you're in the market for a touchscreen that you want to just make calls or texts on then I suggest buying it. It's a lovely looking, functional, little phone. But if you're thinking of doing any internet browsing, video watching, or anything beyond listening to music then please I implore you look elsewhere! As if you try with this phone you will almost certainly destroy it in frustration
Summary: Stylish little basic phone, but with the right processor it could have been so much more
