This phone is great to give to your children if you really can't afford the popular but pricey Blackberries. Like most of the Alcatel range, this is a budget phone and now costs around £20 on most networks. It is very affordable and has a sleek and stylish look with its qwerty keyboard which also serves its purpose of making messaging much quicker and easier.

The screen is not small at 2.2 inch and displays websites clearly using GPRS. The phone also has a decent 2 megapixel camera for capturing photos. It may not sound great but at the price you shouldn't expect any higher. The quality of a two megapixel is fairly poor but also this is not a camera phone and not a priority for me but bear this in mind before purchasing. Also, the phone is capable of bluetooth, FM radio, multimedia messages and several entertaining games. Expanding the phones memory could not be easier, just use a microSD card at however many gigabytes you wish to have to store your music or photos.

The phone is great if you just want a basic phone with some good features, but don't expect the quality of the screen to be as good as the other top models as this phone has been out for a long time now and the technology used on other phones is much more advanced.

Also the keys are very small and a bit fiddly for the elderly or those with bigger fingers and it's probably best to buy this phone for your teenager and not for yourself. Because of its basic features it has a very long battery life which for me has lasted up to a week and it has nine hours of talk-time.

To sum up this phone is a great buy at a bargain price. You won't have to worry about scratches or dents and if you lose it, it's replaceable at a small cost. I love this phone and thoroughly recommend purchasing it.
