The bare minimum (Alcatel OT-E227)
Member Name: Nibblewood
Advantages: Cheap, reliable, easy to use. Disadvantages: Small memory, a little bit quiet.
This was the cheapest phone I could find in Tescos. I think that someone like me, who doesnt really use their phone tant much is the perect target market for this product. It doesn't have many games, it doesn't do WAP or GPS or whatever, it won't even toast a slice of bread. But what it will do is phone and text. For me, that is a masterstroke. In a time when phones are becoming cameras and organisers and thermometers (you just wait...), the focus of the phone is growing further from making calls and sending texts. What this phone does is just that. It is simple to do and quick at doing it. Whilst the storage of old texts is in an agonizingly small storage capacity, it feels like you could drop it from a four storey building (note feels like, dont hold me responsible...). And it's cheap. Summary: The best budget phone out there.
