Alcatel 735:
... know, this is not a very catchy mobile phone to look at. But, it s ease of use is really amazing. I used it daily to call, accept calls, to send and receive messages and multimedia messages. I could even browse the net with the GPRS and WAP integrated. The buttons were nicely spaced out with a bigger than usual (at that time) screen. Although the colour offered was only abot 4k, it was still clear and good. T... Read the full review: Worth a try by fren12 |

Alcatel One Touch Easy db ... first layed my hands on this phone about a week ago, but this was enough time to observe all of it s features, some pleasing but unfortunately shaded by the inconvenients. I was happy to find a rather easy-to-use phone but profoundly bitter when i discovered that even with a fully charged battery, the backlight and display text would start to blink severely when initiating a call or sending an ordinary sms. Positives: - it can also use regular AAA size batteries in case you re not at home and expressly need to use the phone - it employs a docking type charger, which is a more elegant and easy to use solution - it has several power saving features: backlight on/dimmer/... Alcatel One Touch 735 ... had a number of Sagem phones, I thought it was only fair to give one of the models from Alcatel a try. Although Alcatel recently disbanded their mobile phone division, they certainly used to be the closest competitor to Sagem, especially in their native France. Part of the Thomson group, which in turn appears to be owned by American giant General Electric, Alcatel have been making telephones of one sort or another for years, so it is only natural that they should have progressed to the mobile phone genre in the 1990s. Upon the launch of France’s first mobile phone network in 1993, Alcatel had several models ready, and in 2003 they launched their first phone with an... Alcatel MaxDB ... bar incoming / outgoing calls onto the phone. This is very useful if you want to avoid certain people on the phone. The battery lifetime is excellent in my opinion - I didn t have to recharge it very often. The battery lifetime is shown on the screen with 3 bars. The phone is very robust - it is chunky and although it may not look the best, it does provide excellent protection to the phone. You cannot change covers either. The reception I found wasn t brilliant - and Although this phone isn t exactly top notch now, I liked it, and prevailed with it even after the Motorola. I now have a Nokia 3310 (doesn t everyone?!) and the Alcatel is now on my shelf in my room. ... Read the full review: Old but good! by fluidfernando |
