I have to begin by stating this is my first iPhone and after just 6 weeks of ownership feel like i have been a loyal fan for years. The set-up is so easy to get accustomed to, i was downloading apps within minutes!
The screen itself is by far the best touch screen i have ever used, it is in another league when compared to the likes of Samsung. No fingerprint marks can been seen even after traveling around China for 4 weeks with it!
My personal favorite feature is the use of Google Maps in conjunction with the inbuilt compass, it seamlessly finds you current location and gets you out of trouble when lost, extremely useful when traveling! Furthermore it can be used as satellite navigation, which i personally use whilst cycling.
The ease of use when downloading from iTunes is amazing, being able to download tunes or movies on the move is brilliant.
Safari is the internet browser of which comes standard on all Apple products, it seems to be extremely smooth and fast, especially when taking advantage of the 3G network, however this does drain the battery life as though it were a colander!
The only problem i have had with the iPhone so far is the battery life indicator, it seems to jump from 65% to nothing within 5 minutes, this therefore leaves me with no battery if out which sometimes cases problems, but because of the warranty this will be fixed in no time.
To conclude the Iphone 3GS is a phenomenal piece of equipment and lived up to my high expectations, it provides everything you need from a phone whilst maintaining the stylish aesthetics we have come to expect from Apple products.

Summary: A great phone and means you don't have to carry around an iPod as well as a phone!
