Advantages: great web browsing, nice user interface
Disadvantages: death of gaming!
The Apple iphone release was probably one of the most hyped ones in recent times. so, a few months ago, i was ecstatic when i finally got to lay my hands on one of those.
My first thought was, "hey! this looks real cool! awesome touchscreen!" It only got better for the next few minutes. I couldn't get over the marvelous touch-screen. I loved the video quality, and the music playback. I loved the huge 8GB memory of the phone i was using. Everything was perfect! well....almost. and most of all, i loved the web surfing experience! it was better than anything i had come across before on a phone.
Once i got over my awe of the device, i began to realise a few basic glitches.
I am a hardcore gamer, and i love to spend hours playing games on my phone. but the lack of the keypad meant that i would have to all but give up that hobby.
And when i am not playing games, i am clicking pictures. So thats what i started doing. and it wasn't long before i got frustated with the camera....it idn't even have an auto-focus.
there are also other problems-like the lack of "contacts search", which means you will hve to go through all your contacts to search for someone. then there is no SMS forwarding option either.
Pretty soon i began missing the good old keypad. it might take up a lot of space, but it is one indispensable part according to me.
So it all comes down to what you want to do with the phone. If web browsing is your thing, you can't afford to not have an iphone. But if gaming is on the top of your list of priorities, you may as well give this phone a miss
Summary: wouldn't recommend this phone to hard-core gamers. great for the business executive

- 17/08/08 Like I told you before, don't forget that this is first and foremost a phone - and your readers need to know the basic information about how it works as a phone. Also, putting blank lines between your paragraphs is advisable - makes it easier for people to read. Finally, typing this up in Word and putting it through a spelling and grammar checker will get those kinks out of your reviews as well. Let me know if you revise this one. |
