I only recently got the 8gb iPhone and what can I say, it looks and feels great. Not too big or too small. Thin enough to fit comfortably into a pocket.

I have used other touch screen technology including in my place of work and being honest I have never used such a responsive touch screen and it is a joy to use.

Essentially what the iPhone is is an iPod touch with phone functionality, the games and other applications which you can download are fantastic. May I recommend fringe which lets you use your skype account (great for cheap calls if your out of credit or need to call international).

It has a built in speaker which is actually pretty loud considering its size so you can actually use this device without portable speakers.

You can download lots of Applications. Al ot are free. Try remote. This application lets you control the itunes on your computer via your home Wifi network. Your computer needs to be on with itunes running and that is it. Your iphone now functions as a remote for itunes on your computer anywhere within wifi range. Turn the music up/down change tracks etc all with a touch of your phone. Amazing.

So any criticisms. Well yes firstly like all iPods the iPhone has the same vulnerability to scratches so you should invest in a cover or similar to protect it, I personally use a rubber shield. Secondly 8GB which is plenty for me and my music may not be enough for other people and they may not like that.

Battery life isn't too bad but don't expect the long life you will have gotten out of your regular mobile phone because you will be using this a lot more. No matter where I am there is always something to do. Especially seeing as you get full internet with it. Also the games etc which are available to download are great.

I love this gadget and I will give it 10/10.
