Advantages: iPod built into the Phone, Fully customisable with apps, Most responsive touch screen on the market

Disadvantages: Lack of video recording, bluetooth unable to send files to other handsets unless 3.0 installed

I originally got this phone about 2 years ago now and felt that it lacked a lot of things that I would like from a mobile phone costing as much as it did.
The phone lacks in basic things such as bluetooth that can be used to send files to other bluetooth handsets, a Video Camera.
This was the major gripes with the phone that made me dislike it.

Then firmware 3.0 arrived. This has solved the bluetooth problem and if you want a video recorder for your iPhone then it is only a few clicks away as there are plenty of Video recording "apps" in the app store.

The use of a touch screen mobile can sometimes be a bit hard to get comfortable using, but the iPhone has the most responsive screen on the market without a doubt. They keys can be a bit fiddly to get touched exactly right but the auto-replace function will correct any spelling mistakes as long as what you have typed is relatively close to the word you were aiming for.

The App store is truely amazing as it allows you to have access to over 50,000 applications or "apps" as apple have shortened it to. These apps range from games to tip calculators for when you're out for a meal. Some are free and others are paid. Most of the paid apps are available for a small fee of around 59p to £5.

The iPhone has wi-fi access built into the phone which means that if you are within the vicinity of a wireless network that you have access to then the iPhone can connect and use that to browse the internet rather than using up your credit/contract allowance.

Email push is an awesome function the iPhone also has that when set up, will send any emails that you receive into your inbox through to the phone so that you can read and keep track of any important emails whilst on the move.

The main feature of the iPhone besides the phone capabilities of course is the fact that it is an iPod built in too. This means you can load your favourite songs onto the iPhone and use it just like an MP3 player. It can play the sound back through the iPhones built in speaker or via headphones which go into a 3.5mm jack at the top.
The only problem with this model of the iPhone is that the headphone jack is actually sunken meaning that only iPod headphones or headphones which have just a straight jack rather than one bent at an angle can fit into it.

Summary: The iPhone is definitely one of the best phones out at the moment and will take a lot to beat it.
