Where to start with a Blackberry? It really is quite a difficult question!
I had a Blackberry 9360 because a big chunk of my friends had them, and their friends also seemed to all have a Blackberry phone. When my contract was due for renewal I thought "Yeah I'll go for a Blackberry because so many people have them and I will be able to talk to them using BBM (Blackberry Messenger) for free! So sure enough I got the Blackberry on my renewed contract.
At first I was so happy because the phone was really good, it was fast, the interface was a bit confusing but like with any new phone it always is quite hard getting rid of those old habits you had with your previous phone. As silly as it sounds I got hooked on the already installed game called Brick Breaker, whilst waiting around for anything such as a bus or if I were meeting someone chances are I'd be playing brick breaker! So it was all well and dandy with my new found love. BBM was great, I had all my friends who were on BBM and even friends of friends whom I'd only met once, I suppose just because I could really, and it'd never cost anything to talk to them!.
After a couple months usage of the phone I noticed it was starting to get very slow, and the response time when I would open something would be slower than before which disappointed me a little, but not enough to hate Blackberry. After having the phone for half a year the middle button that was used to navigate everything! Decided to break and only work occasionally, so I literally had a phone that I could only answer calls on. Luckily I had insurance so I sent it back and after a week or so, I had a new one sent to me. A couple months later (month 8 of the contract) The button decided to break again! I'm not a clumsy person so I wouldn't be dropping it every other day, and even if I was I had a silicone case to protect it a bit. So sure enough, I sent it back and got a new one, which finally lasted until the end of my 12 month contract. Also I've had a couple of friends complain about the same problem of the main middle button deciding to stop working!
I also noticed that blackberry app world was pretty useless, even with the massive Blackberry fan base, not many apps were on there that were of any use to me. I think the best one I had was Hangman because brick breaker got extremely boring!
Overall though my experience with the Blackberry 9360 was not that enjoyable. I was on my third phone having two of them break due to the same reason, the sluggish performance that appeared after a few months use. The pretty much useless Blackberry app world. The only decent thing I liked about it really was BBM but apart from that this phone is nothing special.
Summary: Not a great experience I wish I chose a different phone for a 12 month contract
