Being a firm convert to the BlackBerry smartphone revolution I am lucky enough to receive courtesy of my employer an upgrade each year. The last twelve months have seen me dazzled and impressed with the BlackBerry Pearl, a device I didn't think it was possible to make any better as it was small, compact, jam packed full of useful tools and software and incorporated a digital camera along with lots of other functional tools. It was with heavy heart that I was informed over a month ago of our IT departments intention to replace any Pearl models with the Curve 8310. This was an upgrade I neither needed or wanted but after only a few days of owning the Curve 8310 I was once ... Read the complete review

Blackberry handsets have grown in popularity to become the "must-have" businessman's gadget. The Blackberry device is particularly useful, because it combines a conventional mobile phone with facilities such as email on the move, Internet browsing and the functionality to synchronise with PC-based applications such as Microsoft Outlook. I'd have to be honest and say that I'd be lost without mine, which I use as a personal organiser, as well as a means to catch up and keep in touch. Blackberry handsets are available on all the major networks, but the range of handsets differs according to which network provider you go with. I signed up for a good deal ... So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come ... Read the complete review

I loves mobile phones. At one point I was buying one a fortnight off ebay because I was buying one, messing about with all the features, then selling it when something new came out. I have had the Blackberry Curve 8310 for well over 2 months now and absolutely love how smooth it is. Let me explain, when switching through applications on other phones I've found that the phone often becomes sluggish, this isn't the case with Blackberry's. If they do, it is recommended to pull the battery out and put it back in, this is known as a "quick pull." First look at the Blackberry, I thought, with my fingers, I'll be pressing more than one button at ... Read the complete review

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a nutshell, Blackberry phones seemed to be on the expensive end of the market and many people who have them seemed to be pleased. So I decided to check it out. The first thing you notice is the complication and a different style of use. This takes time to get used to. The roller-ball is a cross between a pointer mouse and the stylus system on other PDAs. And yes if you previously own a Windows based PDA, you will probably be looking for a stylus to poke the screen with! You get used to it. But the Qwerty keyboard more than replaces the clumsy stylus. One of the biggest ... Read the complete review
