I was "lucky" enough to grab one of the first samples of these that we received at Orange and tested it out for a few weeks, for obvious reasons it really grabs your attention at first glance but once you actually get used to the novelty of the colour (I had the translucent Orange) it starts to get a bit embarrassing and I found myself just busying calls if I got any whilst I was in public because to the uninitiated it probably looked like I was playing with a toy phone ! Although as I say the novelty value soon wore off with the colour I still liked the way the phone seemed to glow all over when you used it which although not such a great advantage ... For many years I had a vodafone pay as u go mobile phone where for each voucher purchased so much went on service and the rest is available for calls and it came to the point where I was running out of service credit so I decided to take the plunge and change not only phone networks but mobile phone as well. The phone I decided on was the BOSCH 509e with ORANGE as the network. The first dilemma was which colour phone to choose as there are two, a coconut colour that is a clear design or tangerine an orange colour, and both these phones are translucent which make them very distinctive. The phone comes supplied with a sim card capable of storing 100 names ... Read the complete review

i have had this phone for about half a year now. i've found it to be quite good as it has a extemely good design. It is practical aswell as being value for money. I have one with an orange case which lights up when someone calls me. The screen is of an average size compared to other phones such as some of the ericsson and the motorola ones. It has quite a long battery life of 4 days standby and 3 hours talktime wich usually lasts me up to a week. It only takes about an hour and a bit to charge and so is easy to charge and recharge. It is not very big but compared to the latest it does not have the latest feel to it. ... Read the complete review

This mobile, designed with youths in mind, is cheap and transparent - you can see right through it! I used one of these phones for about 6 months before replacing it. They are now available in shops for around £29.99, and work with the Orange pay as you go network. These phones are particularly popular with children and young people for a number of reasons. Most obvious is its rather funky look. It is a thin but wide (and overall rather large) phone whose whole transparent front panel lights up in either an orange or pale blue colour when the phone rings, or a button is pressed, making it ideal fro night time texting! It works on the ... Read the complete review

I have owned a Bosch 509e (on Orange Pay as You Go) for about three years now. It's definitely a bit large compared with the latest tiny toy-like phones, but I have big fingers and it has big buttons, so I'm not complaining. (Perhaps it's unkind to call it a brick: it's more like a half-brick.) The design is a bit old fashioned, and the features are few and far between, but the Bosch 509e does work really well as a basic phone. The reception quality is excellent; I've had very, very few call problems, although that is partly down to the Orange network's good coverage. Sound quality is fine, and best of all, it doesn't have ... Read the complete review
