I have just been given a PF768 as a stop gap phone until I can afford a new one. I am not really that impressed by it. It only has 55 hours stand by time so I will need to take a charger with me when Im out for the weekend. that is a pain. I had a 1018 until it was stolen and it had 72 hours standby which was just about adequate. Its nice and small. Maybe a bit too small because the buttons are difficult to use and the screen is too small. Its only a single line of text to be read. It is not in the same league as other ericsson flip phones but then again its not in the same price bracket either. ... Read the complete review

I've had my 768 since December 1999 and so far I've been very pleased with it. It isn't the most Technologically advanced of mobiles, but it has a very clear sound and many good features. I think it is one of the sexiest Ericssons I've seen, although it does have a few bad points, including a very fragile 'flip' and a difficult to master sim card slot. I originally bought my Phone on One2One, but eventually changed to another compatible network, namely Virgin Mobile. I haven't had any major grumbles about this Mobile and it is a very good first time buyer's choice. ... Read the complete review

The PF768 is one of two Ericsson's that i own. This one is the one for going out and using at the weekends, its no good to take to work for me being an engineer, as my phones do tend to take a knock or two while working.its very dainty and wouldnt last two mins at work. I have one gripe with it and that is the flip on it is very easily broken and i have actually gone through two since buying mine in Oct 99. I have now actually opted to buy a slide front for mine and have changed it over and i havent had as much trouble with it. It charges very fast and as with quite a few of the ericssons actually owning two different models, the accessories for both fit each other, ... Read the complete review

If you just want a phone to tell people if your gonna be late or you've broken down and you don't want a fashion accessorie then you'll want this phone. No it doesn't have games which run down the battery, no it doesn't have dozens of annoying ring tones and no it will not let you leave it for days without needing to be recharged. The battery life is actualy pretty shocking but you don't need it all the time if it's just for emergencies. It looks respectable and will trick people into thinking it's feature filled and was expensive when the truth is you could pick it up for £20 with loads of extras in the box such as Hands free ... A friend of mine called chung has this phone on the one 2 one network. when he first got it he was well chuffed. but it didnt have a text messaging facility on it, he had to phone up one 2 one customer services and ask for a Sim Update which will then enable it. i think they have now stopped selling the Ericsson PF768 because i havent seen it around much. now because my friend has seen the nokia 3310 he wants that now.the 768 is ok for the average person who may have tight budget and doesnt want to spend too much on a phone. but the thing that bugs me about the phone is ts small screen size and the size of the writing and pixels on the actual screen, they are very large, ...
