I've used the Incredible S for four months now. It is my first smartphone. Prior to purchase I did extensive research. There is so much to choose from.

In the end it came down to a choice between the HTC Incredible S and the Iphone 4. The temptation to go for an Iphone was high, given it's popularity and range of Apps. However it soon became clear that Android has a great Apps marketplace. It is easy to access, navigate, download and install applications. The Android operating system is easy to use, fast and responsive.

So, I took the Iphone out of the running; given that it is around £150 more expensive on Amazon and Android powered smartphones are just as good.

I wanted a smartphone that is sturdy, has a good size touch screen, good quality camera and is easy to use. The Incredible S ticks all those boxes. This phone runs the latest version 2.3 Gingerbread and has updated several times very easily.

Other positives about this phone are it's size (not too small), the HTC Hub which gives you a selection of great Widgets (Apps) to install and you can scroll through several home screens which can be set to your favourite applications.

It is a very intuitive phone to use and I haven't required instructions to access any other the features. You can pick this phone up and learn as you use it.

The major downside is battery life which is poor, especially if using web based features. However it's a common issue with smartphones and it doesn't take long to re-charge. You can certainly have a couple of hours extensive use. Longer if you are just making calls and the odd social media comment.

There have been a few application crashes, but the phone recovers very quickly and you can send a report to HTC. It's never stopped me from using the phone.

I'm very pleased overall with the decision to get this phone.
