Advantages: Clear screen, great size, easy to navigate and not a bad camera.
Disadvantages: Does the odd crashing and music player could be improved.
I bought this phone when it first got released in the UK (which was last year) and before it arrived on my doorstep, I had not even tried a demo one. It was a risk, but I love the phone and would not change it for a good long time.
My brother had the HTC Desire HD and so I had the chance to play with his phone to get a feel for an Android phone, I really liked it but found his phone to be way too big for my small hands and the battery life on it completely useless. So i held out to see what new phones HTC was going to offer. When I read that the Incredible S was coming out I did a lot of research and the selling points for me was that it was smaller, more slim line and battery life is better. And yes, it ticks those boxes still.
The Incredible S doesn't seem to crash as often as the Desire HD so I assume HTC learnt their mistakes with the HD. My phone rarely crashes but it is still quite annoying when it does.
Screen is clear, and pictures are very smooth. The battery in mine can last all day as long as i am not playing games on it or making loads of calls, if you tend to do both these things daily then I recommend you buy a spare battery or be somewhere that you will be able to charge your phone.
Camera is good, not Iphone good (lets face it, not many phones have a much better camera than Iphone) but it still takes good pictures. It has settings like you would get in a digital camera, like: Scenes, macro shot etc.
Such an easy phone to navigate around and I love that it can be customised to what I want it to be on the screens so there is some individuality to it.
I normally look about for a new phone after a year or so because I get bored or fed up with my previous phones but not this one, I am perfectly happy with this one. I even bought one for my mum's birthday this year. It arrived 2 days ago and I have moved her most needed icons on her homescreen so she doesn't need to go in to the menu and get all confused(she is totally clueless on technology). I even put a calculator widget on another screen so she can easily access it if she needs it in the shops.
Summary: Best phone I have ever had and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a mid-range smart phone.
